Jennifer Lucille Muskus

In 2011 I lost custody of my two children while being represented by Ms. Muskus and was ordered to pay child support to my abusive husband. I was in class at the time trying to make a job change I had inconsistent work hours the judge didn’t understand that this was a temporary situation and my lawy...er didn’t really say what she needed to say to prove my case.Ms. Muskus lost the case I was devastated, but all Ms. Muskus could think about was getting her check. My faith in the legal system was shattered then and I still feel the same today.My children and I were victims of the legal system. Ms. Muskus ruined my life in one court case and I’m still trying to pick up the pieces.

When I met Jennifer in 2009 it was under fairly extreme circumstances. My husband had intentionally abandoned me and, with the assistance of my former in-laws, he took my child and everything of value from our home only weeks after I got a job. I came home to a mostly empty house and a note on the ...counter. Not only had he transferred everyone (and everything) into another home, all three individuals left the state with my (at the time) infant in tow. The situation did not allow a great amount of time for response, and I didn't know how to react because I had never been exposed to that type of radical, malicious behavior. I had no where to turn and no one that would help. I had separated from the military to have my child. Though we lived on a military installation, the military would not provide any assistance because he was still serving. I was told our case was to be dealt with via private sector. To make matters worse 911 would not respond because we lived on base. They informed me that the base was not their jurisdiction. My spouse had also come between my family members and I. They believed he was a good man, so I was in a catch 22. After calling every local authority/agency for several days while trying to retain composure at my new job, I found Jennifer by the grace of G-d through a women's help hotline. I wasn't able to eat or sleep and was in terrible condition when we met. We took things one day at a time though and fought through the most strenuous of circumstances. Over the years, my ex and his parents have made attempts at every turn to degrade my character and ruin my integrity in an effort to remove my child from my care. And each time, Jennifer has given sound advice on how to react to their antagonistic mannerisms. She listened when I was full of anxiety, empathized when I was fearful, and she was my rock when, many times, no one else was willing and/or able to offer solid support. Jennifer and I have worked together since 2009 and from day one she has been genuine and supportive. Without her expertise and willingness to act quickly my former spouse would have succeeded in taking my child and disappearing to another state for more than just a short amount of time. In the past 6+ years we have learned many lessons together about the legal system, peoples' character (or lack thereof), the military and Federal government, support systems and what to do when they fail, as well as how we both respond to excessive amounts of stress. I believe in Jennifer so much that, even though my child and I moved to a neighboring state years ago to be close to work, I still travel back to Maryland to do court procedures. My case will be in the legal system for the foreseeable future and the only thing I know for certain is the fact that I do not want anyone else by my side. Jennifer has proven herself to be fair, to play by the rules (especially when the opposing party vehemently chooses not to follow a moral high ground), and she has time after time shown she is loyal and caring, and if that isn't great customer service in a field as difficult as the legal system, I don't know what is.

Jennifer is an excellent attorney! She helped me with a custody and visitation dispute that involved different states. Ms. Muskus emmersed herself in my case and always kept me well informed. She is very thorough and was highly organized and ready for court. I cannot thank her enough for all that s...he did. Ms. Jennifer Muskus- I don't even know where to begin in describing this astonishing woman. It has taken me so long to finally come to the website and tell you about her b/c I haven't found the right words and I still haven't (lol) but I will try my best. When I came to Jennifer, I was a horrible me...ss. It was written all over my face , shown in my body language and the way I dressed. Jennifer was extremely warm , kindhearted and professional which made me open up my life to her w/ no hesitation. I totally unburden my heart to her. Jennifer was with me every step of the way through my mind-numbing divorce and child custody case. There were certain aspects of my case that seemed extremely questionable but Jennifer NEVER waivered! She kept her ground, she believed in herself and most importantly, she believed in me. (that means a lot) Throughout the length of my case, Jennifer made me feel like I was the only client she had, like nothing else was of importance (even tho I knew she had way more clt’s and a personal life), but she took the time. It felt like nothing was more important than Jennifer seeing my daughter and I together, living happily as mommy and daughter. I'm tearing up, just writing this,lol, and it still does no type of justice! At the completion of my case, Jennifer had won everything I wanted , I even gained more than expected to. In the end, I gained SOLE custody of my baby girl, I was granted ABSOLUTE divorce, I gained the car and other items and all the things that come along w/ it w/out going into detail. Overall, Jennifer Muskus is a OUTSTANDING woman that will go to hell and back just for you..she will fight through high waters. Jennifer is very humble, compassionate, she fights for what is right, she holds strong values, she never keeps you in the dark. She just IS… I’m so upset b/c I still feel I have not at all done her justice… My opinion, in all honesty, if you don’t attain Ms. Muskus's services, your an absolute fool! Who could ask for anyone better, who could want more? It isn’t out there-but guaranteed you will find this in Ms. Muskus.
