I am an experienced immigration lawyer who is dedicated to personalized, high quality legal counsel and representation.  Practice areas include:  

Family Immigration; Asylum-Refugee Law; Consular Processing (fiancee visas); Waivers of  Inadmissibility (I-601 and I-601A); Naturalization/Citizenship; Deportation/Removal Defense in Immigration Court; DACA Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals; Nicaraguan and Central American Relief Act (NACARA); Temporary Protective Status (TPS); Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS); Violence against Women Act (VAWA) cases for abused spouses/children, and many other types of immigration matters including requests for Prosecutorial Discretion in appropriate cases.

     I have more than 12 years of combined non-profit, private and government immigration experience. Among my achievements is the leadership role I played in launching the national program of volunteer-based clinics for the United Methodist Committee on Relief's (UMCOR) Justice for Our Neighbors (JFON) immigration ministry.

     As background, I was born in El Salvador, raised in California and have lived in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area since 1989.  I have a B.A. in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center where I am a Georgetown Public Interest Law Scholar.  I am fluent in both written and spoken Spanish. In addition to my immigration practice, I have served as Ward 7 City Councilwoman for the Town of University Park, MD.

     Legal practice limited to Immigration and Nationality Law.  Office located in College Park MD serving clientele of immigrants and refugees primarily in the in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia area.
