Clifford D. Hyra

Clifford D. Hyra is the Founder of Fresh IP PLC and an intellectual property attorney with broad experience handling domestic and international patents and trademarks and related matters. Cliff works with a global client base including multinationals, universities, overseas IP firms, and SMEs all over the country and around the world. He provides his clients with extraordinary service and personal attention wedded with cost-effective representation.

Cliff files and/or prosecutes well over one hundred patent applications each year, working mainly in the technical fields of electrical and mechanical devices, computer software and hardware, telecommunications, medical devices, material science and aerospace, as well as industrial designs. He is a master of compact patent prosecution, utilizing regular in-person, video, and telephonic Examiner interviews. He has extensive experience handling appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and beyond and rendering patentability, clearance, freedom-to-operate, and validity opinions.

Cliff also files and/or prosecutes approximately one hundred trademark applications each year. He has extensive experience handling appeals and contentious proceedings (including oppositions and cancellations) before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) as well as litigation, and trademark enforcement, conducting UDRP domain name dispute resolution campaigns and proceedings, rendering trademark registerability opinions, and handling applications for copyright registration.
