Ricky Malik

I got referred to Ricky Malik from my brother. He helped my brother with his citizenship application and not only that but he also had helped my parents. I had somewhat of a complicated case when it comes down to filing for change of status to a citizen from permanent citizen. I had another attorney ...working on my case when I originally filed for my green card, and even then I was able to get Ricky's help and he told me exactly what the officer is going to say and what I need to do. I had a couple of those issues(I prefer not to talk about them) even when I filed for the citizenship and I decided to go with Ricky. The one thing I really like about him is that he does not judge you, he just helped me throughout my case and he was always ready with all the documentation. A few things that I would like to mention about him are that, he is always prepared, he got all of his files in order, and most likely he knows what the outcome is going to be. All in all he is one of the best attorneys that I had to work with and he not only is great at his work but also has an amazing personality and I would recommend him to anyone.

I am from Wales, UK- During a three month visit to the States (esta visa to visit my long distance partner of 2 years) my circumstances changed and I Married my now husband. Oblivious to the legal ramifications of adjusting my status, I began to investigate the process online- and was subsequently te...rrified by a thousand horror stories of deportation. I immediately called around some HIGHLY recommended lawyers- each one put the fear of God into us (sadly some of these were even 'friends' of my husbands neighbours and the even employer of a personal friend)- 'hire us now or it's likely you will deported', 'they come in the night to deport you (I was actually told this) 'when you're deported you won't be able to enter the States and see your husband for a year minimum- our fee is ****, sign with us and file tomorrow.' It was torture, I cannot explain to you how I felt. I contacted Ricky via his site and expected the same. He contacted me personally soon after and the first thing he told me to do was calm down (I think he was shocked at how panicked I was). He explained to me that my situation was nowhere near as dire as I had been led to believe, gave me a realistic solution, and advised me that even if I didn't hire him, not to be pressured into filing next day as the necessary documents can't be filed that fast with a good outcome- I learned from him that actually rushing to file immediately was more dangerous than taking the time to do things properly, even if it meant I was over my visa allowance.I am incredibly grateful to this man. I am a worrier by nature, he was always calm and available, kind and sincere. He walked us through filing, interview and adjustment of status, which resulted in my green card and being able to stay with my husband. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you're reading this review you have probably had horror stories forced on you by predatory lawyers, I implore you to contact this man and let him do for you what he did for me. He won't charge you the earth, he won't lie to you and he will absolutely do his best- of that I am confident. Stop wasting time and look no further - Ricky Malik is the best immigration attorney you can find!!! After 18 years long unsuccessful immigration proceedings, going from one immigration attorney to another and spending over $50 000 in attorneys and court fees, after exhausting all possible appeals - ...I met Ricky Malik who immediately struck me as a very knowledgeable, honest, compassionate and dedicated to his job attorney - unlike the cold blooded, uncaring and mainly money motivated attorneys I've met through all those years. I was at my last straw - I was in deportation proceedings and I had exhausted all possible court proceedings and appeals with only one last chance to file a motion to reopen my case. Despite my desperate situation, I felt comfortable and confident with Ricky Malik by my side and I was very impressed by his creativity and diligence. Ricky Malik did what other attorneys thought was impossible - he worked and fought hard on my case to remove the deportation proceedings and to obtain a permanent resident status after long 18 and a half years. I cannot find enough good things to say about Mr Malik. He is amazingly awesome!!! Due to incompetent company lawyers, I found myself in a bleak position of having my I-140 being denied during the green card process. The denial was based on the premise that my degree (3 year degree obtained in t...he British educational system) was not equivalent to a US 4 year degree. I was quite distressed and distraught since I had been trying to obtain permanent residency for over ten years and due to circumstances beyond my control was unable to. It seemed that this attempt to obtain permanent residency was yet again destined to fail. However, I came across Mr Malik here on avvo.com and that was the beginning of a new day for me. Based on the avvo.com user reviews and peer endorsements as well as a review of his website, I felt that Mr Malik would be able to help. I called him and was able to get a same day face-to-face consultation. Mr Malik was very kind and was genuinely concerned about my situation. He carefully recorded all of the details of my case and suggested different options for proceeding. I felt at peace and so very comfortable with Mr Malik that I immediately asked him to take my case. He did. Mr Malik performed further in-depth research, took the time to call me, and explained to me the options again - presenting the pros and cons of each option. Together, we decided to file an appeal which included a more comprehensive educational evaluation, including an expert opinion. Mr Malik also found and included correspondence from USCIS which supported my situation. Within a month, we received word from USCIS that my appeal documents had been reviewed and approved and that the I-140 denial was reversed and now approved. As a result of this my I-485 (which had been filed concurrently with the I-140) was also approved. I received my green card approximately 6 weeks after Mr Malik's filing of the appeal!!! I would recommend Mr Malik highly to anyone. He is a very kind, humble, and sympathetic man - easygoing and a pleasure to work with. During the extreme stress of the immigration process Mr Malik had a way of being able to put me at ease.
