Scott J. Bloch is a trial lawyer who has specialized in complex litigation, class actions, employment and personal injury for nearly 30 years vindicating his clients in their quest for justice. Recognized as a tenacious and skilled attorney, he has appeared in federal, state, administrative, and appellate courts across the country, including in the United States Supreme Court. His areas of concentration are:
Complex consumer, class action, personal injury and professional malpractice matters
Defense Base Act actions against contractors and insurance carriers
Employment discrimination, federal rights, personnel law, whistleblower retaliation, public policy retaliation
Qui tam (false claims) suits against private corporations for defrauding the taxpayer
Government contracts disputes and executive compensation
He served two years in the United States Department of Justice as Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General on matters involving constitutional litigation, and for five years was the government’s chief enforcer of federal employment rights and whistleblower disclosures where he attained notoriety as the head of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel. He garnered national news for his work in the grounding of 1000 airplanes due to unsafe cracks in fusilages, his pursuit of disciplinary actions against high administration officials in multiple departments and the White House, and championing the rights of nationally recognized whistleblowers in such places as the Department of Defense (faulty Katrina pumps and government contracting irregularities), the Border Patrol (fraudulent kickback scheme), and the Federal Aviation Administration (cover up of FAA air traffic system near misses, widespread cover up of airworthiness inspections). He has testified on federal rights before the United States Congress and has appeared regularly in the media on programs such as NPR (Morning Edition and All Things Considered), CNN, C-Span, NBC Nightly News, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, US News & World Report, Newsweek, St. Louis Post Dispatch. He has written on the need to recognize whistleblowers and on the enforcement of other employment rights.
He and his team recently obtained settlement of a national consumer class action against General Motors (in re Dex Cool) that was valued at $300 million and has tried cases successfully in the area of employment rights, financial fraud, contracts, and consumer protection. He believes in aggressive pursuit of justice on behalf of those whose rights have been denied, economically, personally, and constitutionally. “My whole career has been dedicated to bringing expeditious justice to those who have been denied justice.”
Justice delayed, is justice denied.

I'm using this opportunity to say BIG thanks to Mr. Scott Bloch and especially Mr. Connor Wilkinson for all effort, commitment and time, for every answer, instruction, suggestion. I highly recommend cooperation with this team in any case.
"Scott represents individuals who work for American contractors in foreign countries, an important niche where workers are often abused and mistreated. Scott does fine work and is a top lawyer."
"I endorse Scott Bloch without reservation. I have worked with him and can say without reservation that he is a brilliant lawyer who achieves incredible results for his clients in the most difficult cases, even when pitted against major US and international corporations represented by some of the largest law firms in the county. It is fair to say that Scott Bloch is a fearless advocate who is honest and loyal to his client, and a man of great character."
"I have known Scott for many years and I have had the privilege of co-counseling with Scott on a number of complex litigation matters for my clients, including one matter that involved several difficult U.S. constitutional law issues. Without doubt, Scott is one of the finest and most effective lawyers I have worked with. He is erudite, thorough, effective, knowledgeable, has excellent communication skills, and is responsive to, and works extremely well with, clients. I would highly recommend Scott."

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2015.
Reciprocal - Suspension issued in DC, 2015
updated on 05/02/2018This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in District of Columbia Bar.
“This was a result of political disagreements when I ran a government agency in the federal government and had enemies investigating me. The discipline was suspension for 30 days, which was then reciprocal with DC. I was reinstated in early 2015. It was based on wiping a government computer with a virus and not on practice of law. It is the only discipline in 31 years.”
Discipline with Actual Suspension issued in CA, 2014
updated on 05/02/2018This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
“This was a result of political disagreements when I ran a government agency in the federal government and had enemies investigating me. Kansas refused to discipline me for wiping a computer that had a virus on it. California imposed discipline of 30 days, which was then reciprocal with DC. I was reinstated in early 2015. It is the only discipline I have had in 31 years of practice of law. I was on the Board of Discipline of Kansas in the 1990s and heard ethics complaints against attorneys.”
