NAMED A “BEST LAW FIRM” FOR PERSONAL INJURY IN DC BY US NEWS & WORLD REPORT! CALL NOW

I am a civil trial attorney whose practice is limited to catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation in state and federal courts. I am one of only a dozen DC based plaintiff trial lawyers who are Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in the area of Civil Trial Law. This ABA recognized certification is based on actual jury trial experience, peer endorsements from former opponents, references from Judges and the results of a written examination. I was honored by my peers in 2010 when the Trial Lawyers Association for the DC Metropolitan Area presented me with their Trial Lawyer of the Year Award. I am a Past President of that organization, as well as the local chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Licensed in the District of Columbia and in Maryland, I have handled numerous significant cases on behalf of seriously injured persons, from six and seven figure verdicts and settlements to noteworthy cases that have resulted in local or national publicity.  Unlike a number of law firms that actively advertise on the Internet, our office actually takes cases to trial if we cannot achieve a fair settlement for our client - and the insurance companies that we regularly deal with know that. I limit my practice to the representation of seriously injured persons or their survivors, and do so only on a contingent fee basis.  For several decades, it has been my privilege and goal to work with many families to help them achieve justice in the face of catastrophic loss on account of the conduct of an individual, corporation or governmental entity. I hope that we can help you.

A common man's endorsement.
I was in an auto accident that resulted in several surgeries. I reported the accident to my and the driver at fault's insurance company. My company only tried to sell me more coverage. After faxing the police report to the other driver's insurance, they still held me at fault. It was not until Ken Trombly contacted them on my behalf that they began to change their tune. The case was settled without trail. The claim was settle there were several facts that I learned from Ken Trombly any one in my predicament must bear in mind. 1. In paraphrasing Henry Kett (c 1814). He who acts as his own lawyer, has a fool for a client. Ken Trombly has more than 40 years of experience and it will serve you well. Upon meeting Ken Trombly he is quite assuring that he has been through this many times before. It is his wisdom and experience that make his fee a valued investment. 2. Seldom does any one become rich over night from an automobile lawsuit. The reality is most people carry the bare minimum in auto insurance. Hence your recovery is more than likely going to be limited to the value of their policy. 3. Given fact #2 is where the staff of Ken Trombly , Dan Singer and staff go the extra mile. Dan worked tirelessly with the my medial insurance to minimize my costs. Dan could have easily accepted their fees for service. However he fought and bargained to reduce my medial bills that maximizing my final settlement. Bravo Shultz and Trombly

GREAT ATTORNEY
I have known Ken Trombly for thirty years. He has represented me in several law suits in the course of the years. Ken is attentive, caring, and understanding. He is also there to answer any questions that you may have concerning your lawsuit or just legal questions in general. If he can't help you, he has the ability to refer you to the person that can. I have referred several people to Ken and they too, have been very happy with Ken and his staff.

A Very Excellent Attorney
I hired Ken Trembly based on recommendations I had read, and I was not disappointed. He aggressively pursued my case to a successful outcome, while always taking the time to explain everything to me, so that I fully understood the process. Although a lawsuit was necessary, he diligently handled every detail, so that I was ultimately successful in securing a settlement for everything that I had sought. I give him my highest recommendation and would not hesitate to use his services. again.

Hard working, diligent, and persistent
I asked around and Schultz & Trombly was highly recommended. Now I know why. After being struck and injured by a car while I was walking, my claim was denied by the insurance company. I asked around for legal assistance and Ken Trombly was highly recommended. I contacted his office and received immediate attention. Ken took the time to listen, accepted me as a client, and promptly got to work on my behalf. The hard work, diligence and persistence of his team was evident and thorough, resulting in a favorable and substantial settlement. I have no doubt that they went the extra mile for me. I, too, now highly recommend Schultz & Trombly to anyone who has been seriously injured.

Words cannot adequately express my sincere gratitude
Over some four long years, Ken was a zealous advocate who epitomized ideal attributes as my personal injury lawyer — analytical, strategic, knowledgeable, and extremely insightful. When coupled with Ken’s wealth of trial experience and assembly of team experts, my case resulted in a very favorable outcome. I highly recommend Ken to anyone who has suffered a serious injury, confident that he will work tirelessly to ensure you are fairly compensated.

Inappropriate Commentary
During the time between when I hired this attorney and the lawsuit was settled, I was subjected to many rude and unnecessary comments. One that was extremely offensive was that I should go and seek to get a job with Donald Trump, whose rhetoric has been unquestionably hostile toward the African-American community. It became a frequent habit of Mr. Trombly’s to say something that was both unnecessary and inappropriate. He suggested that the arbitrator and my mother would be friends, which was followed by a long, awkward silence and a very discomforting laugh from the attorney’s assistant which lead me to question what exactly Mr. Trombly was implying when he said they would be friends. It’s worth noting that this arbitrator that Mr. Trombly suggested, who was supposed to be entirely unbiased, would go on to make the brazen assertion that I should not be greedy looking for damages from the opposing party, which is extremely off-putting and not at all appropriate for someone in his position to say. This is something that I don’t think anyone that has suffered as a victim of an accident should have to endure. Furthermore during the arbitration as we were discussing which actions to take and whether or not to take the lawsuit to trial, Mr. Trombly said I was less likely to garner sympathy from the trial’s jury because of my physical appearance. Although I brushed the comment aside at the time, I feel like it is important to note that my scar is not tiny nor is it invisible. The scar that I have from brain surgery is extremely visible, along with the piece of metal implanted in my skull that has drastically altered my appearance. My injuries are severe and will have a damaging impact on me for the rest of my life. It is a shame that Mr. Trombly was unable to recognize that and chose to callously minimize the severity of my injuries. If you are looking for an attorney that will offer you understanding and empathy during a tragic time in your life then Mr. Trombly is unfortunately not the attorney for you.

Response from Kenneth Trombly July 10, 2019
I am deeply sorry to hear that you feel this way, especially because it is based on a complete miscommunication of something that was said in jest, but totally misconstrued. As a lawyer who has devoted his practice to protecting individuals, I value highly the long-lasting relationships I have built with my clients, which is why I am so troubled to see this hurtful review, that reflects neither my political beliefs nor what actually occurred. I invite the reviewer to reach out to me directly any time to discuss this further, as it is based on a misunderstanding, plain and simple. Thank you. Ken Trombly
