Genuinely Top Notch Legal Adviser

Adam is a wonderful attorney who took over a very difficult case and achieved a result far better than anyone expected. He was courteous to opposing counsel which really facilitated our process. He instinctively explains what is going on throughout the process and listens to opinions and incorporat...es them into his deliberations. He is someone I would come back to again and have actually asked for advice and counsel in the years since he met. I can't recommend him highly enough. I have worked with and around lawyers all of my professional life and I would rate Adam Carter among the very top tier for integrity, skill, likeability and respect of his peers.

Former Client

I live in Buffalo, NY and wanted to file a federal employment suit. I was unfamiliar with the legal system and Adam was recommended to me. I flew to Washington terrified and armed with thousands of questions. When I met with Adam, I had only to ask one question: "What do I do?" Adam spent hours detai...ling the whole process. If I didn't understand, he patiently explained the concept for me in layman's terms. By the time I left the initial meeting, I knew I had found the perfect attorney. Adam and I worked together very closely for three years. Not one phone call or email ever went unanswered. He would talk with me day or night to get me through the difficult stages of my case. Adam cared about me as a person and protected me. He sought out the best expert witnesses and did not leave one stone unturned until the day we won the case. Adam knows the law inside and out, and was able to immediately recall precendents for every situation. His gentle appearance and mannerisms belie his true strength. He is a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. His financial compensation did not come close to covering the preparation, personal touches and time that he invested over those three years. I have the utmost respect for Adam's knowledge of the law; just as importantly, I am forever indebted to him for the patience and kindness he showed during a most frightening time in my life. Adam helped me to stand up for justice for myself and for thousands of others who will never know that price that I paid for that justice. I now consider him a lifelong friend.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
