After working with scores attorneys, one consistency I have noticed is that a majority of them hold billable hours above all else. Over-negotiating, over-complicating, and drafting unnecessarily verbose contracts seem to be commonplace when dealing with legal matters these days. While I appreciate ...it is a firm fiduciary responsibility of most lawyers to pay attention to billable hours, there is no reason why there cannot be equal (as opposed to secondary) focus on the client's needs.
