I hired an attorney from Mr Collin's firm, but was very disappointed. This was for a misdemeanor charge against my teen son. I never actually had any contact with Mr Collins himself, but instead dealt with an attorney in his office (Colleen Durkin) who took a $1000 retainer. After several months of... waiting, emailing and leaving voice mails, it became clear that she wasn't doing much of anything for us. She told us that she made some phone calls to a police officer, and that was about it. After 4 months she called to say that she was leaving the firm and that the case could be handled by another attorney with Collins' office. Again, weeks went by with little communication or discernible action. I finally became so frustrated that I requested the return of my retainer and sought another attorney. They eventually returned the retainer.

I came to AJ during a difficult time of my life. Not only was he very professional but he also was genuinely concerned about me and my situation. In my opinion he went far and above the "normal" duties of a lawyer. He has excellent follow up skills, would even respond to email on the weekends. I was ...very fortunate to have AJ as my lawyer.
