Joseph J Rhoades

Joseph J. Rhoades is the founder of Rhoades & Morrow and has devoted his career to representing individuals in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters across Delaware. With decades of experience, his practice is focused on helping injured clients navigate the legal system and pursue fair compensation.

Mr. Rhoades earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and his law degree, magna cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School. He began his legal career as a law clerk to The Honorable Henry R. Horsey of the Delaware Supreme Court.

He has held numerous leadership roles in the legal community, including serving as Past President of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, where he remains active on the Board of Governors. He has also played a significant role in Delaware’s workers’ compensation system, serving as Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Oversight Panel and previously chairing both the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council and Health Care Advisory Panel.

Mr. Rhoades also serves as Vice Chair of the Delaware Superior Court Civil Rules Committee and is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Delaware State Bar Association. His work extends beyond the courtroom through his involvement with organizations supporting individuals with brain injuries.

Known for a practical and straightforward approach, Mr. Rhoades works closely with clients to help them understand their options and move forward after an injury.
