Obviously I can not respond to the specific complaints, as I am unsure of the reviewer's identity or the case to which he/she or she is referring. If the reviewer is reading my response, please feel free to contact me so that we can discuss the matter and I can personally address the concerns you have voiced here. However, an allegation in this review strikes me as odd. In estate administration matters, unless alternate arrangements are agreed to, the amount of my fee is based on a fee schedule approved by the Berks County Orphan's Court. Additionally my fee is paid in 2 installments. The first 1/2 is paid at the time the Inheritance Tax Return is filed. The other 1/2 is not paid until (1) all estate beneficiaries have reviewed an accounting of estate funds, and approved its payment my fee, or (2) the fee is approved by the Orphan's Court at an audit. Thus, the allegation that I got paid and did not not followed through does not make sense, as before I could get paid in full, the estate would have been closed, which could not occur until my fees have been approved by either the estate beneficiaries or the Orphan's Court.
