Jeffrey Alan Franklin

Jeffrey A. Franklin is a general Civil, Business, Energy and Utility, Real Estate and Technology attorney and consultant who represents clients in a way that maximizes their opportunity to achieve their business goals. Jeff has more than 20 years of experience, primarily in the areas of electric, gas, telecommunication, alternative energy and water regulation, and also has extensive experience in technology, Internet and computer law and e-discovery issues.

Mr. Franklin is an attorney focusing on administrative law, power projects, registered securities, eminent domain, computer law, e-discovery, gaming law, and civil litigation areas before various state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He has written and published work primarily in the areas of computer law, cybersecurity, e-discovery, gaming law, and copyright infringement. He serves as volunteer counsel for the American Radio Relay League and a Pennsylvania rails-to-trails organization.

Mr. Franklin is a graduate of Bucknell University, attended the London School of Economics and Political Science and The American University, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he also served as Executive Editor and Associate Editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce.

Mr. Franklin is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Federal District Court, in addition to the several Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), vice-chair of the ABA Section of Science & Technology Law Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Committee; Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Gaming Law, Utility, and Technology Sections and Committees; and various other ABA and PBA committees; the Berks County Bar Association where he serves as Treasurer and Chairman of the Technology Committee and Past Chairman of Law Practice Management Section; Energy Bar Association (EBA); Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA); the International Association of Gaming Attorneys - International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA); Computer Law Association (CLA) - International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw); IEEE Computer Society; Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP); and Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry Technology Committee. Mr. Franklin has been peer review rated "Very High" for legal ability and ethical standards.  He has also been named to Best Lawyers In America.
