I asked her to pursue some issues, she did look at something since she was going to courthouse anyway. She saw no urgency in my case, so I sent her a long email and a few phone calls to get her to do the work I asked of her. She then pointed to the trip to the courthouse, the emails and phone calls... and said I should send a few more thousand dollars. She took my money but never provided documents I was seeking. Client abandonment.

I really didn't want this to happen in my life with 3 kids. Your better half cheating on you with her high school sweetheart after 30 years of marriage that I thought was great!
