I have talked to many lawyers the highest fee they wanted was $6K, nut this attorney wanted $10K. I also had a hard time talking to the lawyer that contacted me through his office S. Ott was his name. He couldn't follow timelines. Not sure who is at fault there. I know I can be emotional and this is a very raw issue for me because I cannot honor my in laws final wishes. All I asked was they take the case on a contingency basis not a pro bono and them and all their wealth still couldn't find it in their hearts and minds to help a 92 year old marine veteran that recently lost his wife of 72 years. It isn't that I don't have a good case, it is that they didn't have the confidence in themselves to gain positive results. Some people live by their wallets, some by their hearts. You choose which this one did.
This lawyer took my retainer, and has not informed me of anything
He is very soft spoken, nice, seemed as though he would be on top of every detail as it arose, but he is a perfect example of a lawyer who should lose his license. I am going to take him to Bar Association.
He has done nothing to help me. He does not return calls, inform me of anything, does not send me papers from the court, and I cannot believe that he was recommended by a lawyer that I think is the finest.
His secretary screwed up and he only defended her. I gave him all the paperwork to prove fraud and prove that my Ex took money from my kid’s trust accounts. I am still in shock as to what he did-not one thing.
I cannot say anything good about him because he screwed up my case by waiting to do something-anything. Do not use this lawyer. You will regret it.
