Brian Lee McCarthy

For over ten years I have practiced criminal defense, and have obtained numerous acquittals, dismissals, suppression orders, grants of motions, favorable pleas, and withdrawals of charges in a myriad of cases.  I have litigated traffic tickets, murders, and everything in-between. In my pre-lawyer life, I was a newspaper reporter, which has aided my writing, investigative, and observational skills.

As a criminal defense attorney, I have several core values: every client should be treated equally, with respect and dignity; every case is important; I give every case my best effort; and every opportunity and argument should be fully explored in an effort to get the best outcome.  I firmly believe defense lawyers should always be willing to litigate whatever is necessary, including trial if the circumstances warrant it.  It is all about serving the best interests of the client, which varies from case to case.  Finally, I always tell clients that while I cannot 100% promise an outcome, I always will promise to work my very best on their behalf.

My journey to recovery, wellness, and mental health from alcoholism led me on this path.  As a result, I am fortunate to have an empathy with clients, particularly those with addiction and mental health issues, that helps me work with them to obtain great results.
