Matthew Gordon Vassil

Matthew Vassil focuses on aggressively defending his clients through all aspects of the criminal justice system.

Matthew graduated from Widener University School of Law - Wilmington, Delaware with honors.  Additionally, he was a member of the interscholastic trial team, a member of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honors Society, winner of the Hugh B. Pearce Trial Competition, and name International Trial Lawyers Student of the Year.  Also during law school, Matthew interned as a legal intern for the President Federal Magistrate Judge of the Middle District of Pennsylvania and at the Chester County District Attorney's Office.  

During his time at the Chester County District Attorney's Office, Matthew first gained experience working in the Appeals Unit and then became a Certified Legal Intern where he represented the Commonwealth in preliminary hearings, summary appeals, suppression motions, and various other matters in every district court in Chester County and at the Court of Common Pleas.

Upon graduation in 2012, Matthew began working at the Kelly Law Firm in West Chester, Pennsylvania.  During this time, Matthew has represented and aggressively defended clients in all phases of the criminal justice system including representation at preliminary hearings, trial level, and appeals to the Pennsylvania Superior and Supreme Courts.  Matthew has represented clients charged with everything from driving under the influence offense, to drug offenses,  to attempted homicide charges.  Matthew has represented clients in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Bucks, Berks, and Lehigh counties.  Matthew is available for free consultations regarding any criminal matter.

Prior to law school, Matthew graduated from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy, where he was a scholarship member of the Men's Division II College Basketball Team.  Matthew is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
