Reliable Guidance Through a Long Custody Case

Evan guided me through my custody case for 10 years and always demonstrated that he had my best interests at heart. He has a strong understanding of the law and our position, and he consistently provided thoughtful, reliable, and strategic advice. Throughout the process, he remained patient, responsi...ve, and genuinely invested in achieving the best possible outcome for me and my family. I always felt confident in his guidance and supported every step of the way.

A trustworthy attorney who consistently put my interests—and my daughter’s—above everything else.

Evan handled my custody case, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better attorney. He was straightforward with me from day one—he didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear, he told me what the court would actually care about, even when it was hard to hear. He put my best interests (and my daught...er’s) before his own several times at his own expense (I.e. counsel that cost him billable hours). He was always on time, always professional, and always prepared. Because of his guidance, we were able to get the outcome I was hoping for. I’m really grateful for everything he did and would absolutely recommend him.

Unprofessional lawyer

I had a very disappointing experience with Evan K. Hambleton, Unfortunately, I felt my best interests were not prioritized throughout the process. First, punctuality was an issue—he was 15 minutes late for a critical settlement meeting, which set a bad tone for what was already a stressful situati...on. Communication was another major problem. My detailed questions were never answered specifically, and he rarely returned phone calls or emails. I often felt left in the dark, unsure about the status of my case or the reasoning behind certain decisions. He also requested an excessive amount of paperwork, much of which turned out to be unnecessary. This added unnecessary stress and wasted valuable time. Additionally, he volunteered to draft the rough agreements, even when the opposing party could have done so. This seemed to put me at a disadvantage, as the focus should have been on negotiating a fair settlement rather than doing extra work for the other side. The most concerning issue was his readiness to draw up an agreement that was clearly not in my best interest. Even the court-appointed master acknowledged that the proposed settlement was unfair. This made me question whose side he was really on. Overall, my experience was frustrating and disheartening. I expected an advocate who would fight for a fair resolution, but instead, I felt overlooked and poorly represented. I would not recommend Evan K. Hambleton to others.

Evan does not look out for the best interest of his client.

If there were 0 stars, I would have given that on the rating for Evan K. Hambleton. I hired Evan K. Hambleton who is a partner at Saling, Litvin and Hambleton. Evan is lawyer that did not complete the job and he did not look out for the best interest of his client. He was unresponsive. A lawye...r would make conscientious efforts to communicate a client's concerns, act quickly, and do the best job possible in a timely manner in the best interest of his client. He did not act in my best interest. He never completed the settlement he agreed to complete. Evan made Continuous Mistakes , did not respond to emails and phone calls, and had incomplete work. I would never recommend him to anyone in the community.

Trust worthy, knowledgeable

I consulted Evan for my divorce situation after one of my friends used him for her divorce. I was very pleased with his guidance. He listened carefully and asked insightful questions. He was clear and forthcoming with explaining how the law applied to my situation and made it easier to make sound... decisions.
