April is the founding member of The Charleston Firm. She is the first of the third generation to pursue a career in law and join the Charleston family practice. April's focus is on estate and trust administration and estate planning. In addition to her estate practice, April represents many small, mid sized and family owned businesses, handling and resolving divergent matters ranging from business formation, acquisition of financing and working capital, employment agreements, contractual disputes, EEOC claims and defenses, loan modification and work-outs for distressed companies and a variety of litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants.
April counsels many families and individuals in a wide array of personal and business concerns including corporate dissolution, winding up and shareholder disputes, the prosecution and defense of employment contracts, insurance claims, stolen identity and intellectual property claims. She also handles all aspects of both commercial and residential real estate transactions on behalf of sellers, purchasers and investors.
April already has tried cases in courts of multiple jurisdictions in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has also represented clients before the Philadelphia Register of Wills, the Pennsylvania Orphan’s Court and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. April is the author of the website
April also practices in an area of personal passion, by representing both visual and performing artists by assisting and consulting with them on contract negotiation, subcontractor rights, sale of works and services and copyright ownership.
April currently serves as the Vice President of Healing Art Works, Inc., a Pennsylvania non-profit which places original, donated artwork in patient spaces at medical centers and outpatient facilities.
April is a member of both the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council and the Chester County Estate Planning Council.
