Biography
Karen M. Stockmal is the founder of the Philadelphia based KMS Law Offices, providing legal services in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, business and charitable planning, educational planning and fiduciary counseling. Prior to opening her own firm, she spent nine years as part of Pepper Hamilton’s Trusts and Estates practice.
Ms. Stockmal is an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and currently serves as chair of its Probate Section’s Education Committee. Ms. Stockmal is a frequent lecturer and has spoken before the Probate Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, as well as speaking at the annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Her most recent publications have appeared in the Philadelphia Lawyer and The Journal of Taxation. Ms. Stockmal earned her B.A. in 1991 from Bucknell University, her M.A. in 1993 from Indiana University, and her J.D. in 1999 from the Temple University School of Law.
Ms. Stockmal serves on the Board of Directors of the Selective Mutism Group, a national charity founded by Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum.
She resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband and two children.

Unprofessional
If you want an honest attorney, please do not use Karen. Her judgment is skewed and she is very manipulative.
