George Henry Newman

I won't stop stating my OPINION of this lawyer. Notice he responded to one review but thought it was me. Little attention to detail Neuman, I never fired you but wish I was smart as that person and found a more credible attorney. Since my review he has threatened with a defamation lawsuit. He, in my ...OPINION, is a joke and I can not recommend hiring him.

My case is high profile and very complicated. I researched many attorneys for their specialty in ineffective counsel claims, many attorneys don’t like to handle cases against other attorneys, making my search for a great attorney that much more challenging. George Newman was recommended repeatedly in... the circles I was investigating. When I initially spoke with Mr. Newman he was not on board with representing me. He informed me that he does not understandably take ineffective assistance of counsel lightly. He asked to review my case without any obligations before he made a decision. After reviewing my case Mr. Newman recognized the miscarriage of justice and would represent me. He worked tirelessly, returned all my calls—nights and weekends, he vetted all my witnesses, reviewed my case with me, and prepared me for my case. He was not afraid to challenge my prior attorney and in fact got him to agree to the facts of my claims. I did not get the outcome I sought, BUT that was not because Mr. Newman did not present an excellent case—UNFORTUNATELY as former Attorney General Eric Holder and President OBAMA said in the past, our system is seriously broken. The one CLEAR message I can impart throughout this entire process about Mr. Newman’s integrity is that he is brutally honest. He told me I had a strong case but nothing is guaranteed in this system. On more than one occasion he told me he did not want to take my money on subsequent appeals as the chances of winning are slimmer through each proceeding appellate process. That is priceless, he could have taken my money with ease, but he chose integrity and his reputation. In my 25 years as a law enforcement officer George Newman stands out as one of the few attorneys with impeccable work ethics. I have recommended Mr. Newman to others. You should as well.

I hired George and he constantly harrased me for money but could never discuss any type of strategy. At trial it was clear he was unprepared. The DA was 100% prepared and made George look like a rookie. Im upset for not going with my first mind and firing him for a more competent attorney that wasnt ...preoccupied with his federal case. I would not recommend hiring him at all
