I am a business owner and small business lawyer. My first business involved manufacturing a product and distributing it across the US. After about two years, I had my products in 100 retailers nationwide. I used to exhibit at trade shows In New York and Atlanta and meeting other independent business owners and talking with them was how I really got inspired to create my own law firm dedicated to helping other small business owners.

I now own a kitchen and gourmet shop in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia. I buy a ton of goods from local Philly makers and love helping the talented entrepreneurs in this area.

When I'm not busy running my businesses, taking care of my two small kids or running after two geriatric pugs, I write about small business issues on my blog at and at .

Excellent Experiance

We started our journey not knowing much about leases, membership agreements and other group rules and regulations. Sarah helped us convey what we wanted to say, cover ourselves and members and made the legal aspect of being a business owner less stressful by taking away the unknown. Many thanks!

Very Helpful

Sarah is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and reasonably priced. She has helped me in many small business related situations and I have been happy each every time. Being a business owner herself, Sarah is very familiar with contracts, partnership agreements, operating agreements and succession plan agreements. She can also you form or dissolve a business or partnership.

Clear and honest

Sarah Holmes is a refreshingly clear and easy to understand lawyer. She listens and constructed legal documents fitting my business needs for a reasonable price and in a timely manner. Thorough and Detailed Risk Assessment

Sarah conducted a risk assessment for our business. She was responsive and communicative throughout the process, and made the process seamless and simple. Clear, thorough & informed contract reviews!

I am in the early stages of a business start up and I am writing some of my first proposals. I need to be sure my contracts protect me should anything go awry with a project. Sarah reviewed them for me and provided informed feedback with clarity. She was thorough and made sure I understood all documentation by providing hypothetical situations that may apply. Needed help writing a contract

I was a year into my business before I reached out to a lawyer for help. Thankfully all I needed at the time was a more thorough contract, but Sarah very easily helped me iron out the details and close some loose ends. Her process was incredibly smooth. Never having worked with a lawyer before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but there was never a point during our business together that I wasn't sure exactly what was going on. She kept me in the loop about the work she was doing with my contracts and explained to me what the new terms meant.

Very helpful

My business partner and I come from technical backgrounds and did not have any experience with starting a small business. We had an LLC set up when we went to Sarah, but had many legal questions that we needed answered. Sarah was able to answer all of them and also provided us with a lot of great tips on how to move forward with our business. Sarah also made herself available to us on late evenings and weekends, which was very important to us because on top of running our business we also have full-time day jobs. We had a very good experience with Sarah and plan to consult with her regularly.

Complete and efficient

I used Sarah to help set up my small business, an LLC. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions and even gave me some tidbits of advice as well. She always responded promptly to emails and kept me up to date on the progress of my paperwork. I would definitely use her again, and will recommend her to others who need help or counseling for their small business.

Solid, Trustworthy, Knowledgeable Small Business Lawyer

I needed contracts for my business and a lawyer I can count on to ask legal questions when I have legal questions or a client questions something. I'm a Virtual Assistant and in my industry, you can purchase contract packages for $10 or $20 from established VA's. I have peace of mind knowing that I have a contract personalized for me, my business and in a language that I understand. Sarah is knowledgeable, replies quickly to my questions and is my biggest advocate for me and my business. I know I have someone in my corner who will protect me, my business and my interests.

A great business lawyer!
