Peter Mark Patton

Peter Patton is a Senior Partner in the law firm ofGalfand Berger. With decades of trial experience, Peter has won some of Galfand Berger’s largest jury verdicts. His trial experience across Pennsylvania has helped achieve multi-million settlements in products liability andconstruction accident cases. Although Peter has a busy trial practice, he strives to provide personal attention to each of his clients.

Peter received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harvard College and a Juris Doctor from University of California, Berkeley, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Professional Responsibility. After graduating, Peter served as Staff Law Clerk of the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, Richmond, Virginia before joining the firm’s litigation department. Peter’s practice is concentrated in the fields of products’ liability,construction and vehicular accidents.

Peter has received an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating an attorney can achieve. Peter is also listed in the Bar Register of Pre-eminent lawyers. Peter has obtained multiple million-dollar verdicts and settlements and has been certified as a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.  In 2011, he had one of the top 35 Pennsylvania recoveries.  Peter has also been included in The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Pennsylvania and is a Lifetime Charter member in Rue Ratings’ Best Attorneys of America.  In 2012, Peter was selected to the PennsylvaniaSuper Lawyers list, an honor only given to the top 5% of more than 34,000 Pennsylvania lawyers.

Peter has published articles in professional journals and texts. His cases have been the subject of some twenty published judicial opinions.  He is active in the brain injury field and has developed experience in representing survivors of brain injury. He is a member of theBrain Injury Association, System Safety Society and Peter holds membership in the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations, the American Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Lawyers Guild. A former Retail Workers Union member, Peter has lectured on products liability and construction injury topics before labor organizations as well as other varied groups.
