Douglas Geoffrey Carman

Among many (immigration and non-immigration) lawyers, Mr. Douglas Carman was unique. He is an up to date experienced and more importantly a passionate and meticulous lawyer that I came across. Without any hesitation, I can say that Douglas was the only lawyer who took the time and approached our “...hardship waiver case” based on our individual and complex situation (not a generic approach). He charged a fair and flat fee and was extremely on time in terms of responding to our concerns and questions. He even took the time to review the forms that we were supposed to fill ourselves and make recommendations on how to adjust them. Most lawyers (as opposed to Douglas Carman), won’t talk to us, before charging a consultation fee to see if they actually accept our case or not!! If they would accept it, they wouldn’t give me a flat rate, but instead offer minute based charge which always results in over-litigation and paying a huge amount of money!
