Good guy, bad results

I hate that I’m writing this but I feel like people should know before choosing Kris as your legal representation as I wish I knew. Kris is a good lawyer if you have a straight forward case. He did nothing special for us except provide inaccurate advice and submit paperwork that I could’ve done mysel...f. My husband had a UK Police Caution on his record which was disclosed throughout the entire process. Instead of doing any legal research on this, Kris proceeded to tell us that things would be fine as they were until he advised us to go to the final green card interview alone because he had another appointment the same day. Instead of doing what a good lawyer would do and reschedule, he said we would be fine and ultimately the decision was denied because of Kris’s lack of support for the Police caution. When we received this shocking outcome, Kris’s response to the situation was basically “well there’s nothing I can do” because he did not have the legal knowledge to Appeal the decision as we have found in our new representation. My new lawyer was shocked that Kris did not submit any supporting evidence to help my husband’s case and treated it like a basic green card application when he knew the entire time about our situation. We are now facing possible deportation proceedings and had to spend a significant amount of money hiring another lawyer who actually knows are the law and is trying everything in her power to get my husband to stay in the US permenantly and legally. My husband's Grandmother passed away and he couldn’t even leave the country to go to the funeral in fear he will not be allowed back in. Kris is a good guy but unfortunately has caused many issues for us that will never be taken back due to his lack of follow through and legal knowledge on complicated cases. I wish I would’ve known prior to choosing him so I hope this review finds anyone well who is thinking of choosing him to represent a complicated case.

The summary you gave as your review is inaccurate. I gave you the option to reschedule the interview and you said no. It’s interesting that you state it was a Police caution And not explain what the actual charge was that your husband incurred. For obvious reasons I know why you didn’t explain it but you had no problem defaming me. Considering I can’t and won’t break attorney client privilege I won’t let everyone know the severity of his crime. Luckily I have other avenues to pursue these false allegations you have brought against me. As you can see, I have nothing but excellent reviews from my clients except for you. It’s interesting that you failed to mention how I spoke with you for over a year before you even started the green card process and never charged you for it. Despite your false allegations we take every clients review seriously and always strive to do better in our practice.

Immigration Case

One of the most frustrating parts of immigration is CIS’s interpretation of who is eligible for adjustment of status based on the type of visa they entered with even if married to a US citizen because not all district offices see it the same way. I have been wondering in the east coast from one court... to another and been told repeatedly by multiple attorneys that l have to return to my country and was not eligible for adjustment of status (the green card process in the US) in addition to two attorney that I retained who failed to solve my immigration status. I also have been told that I would have to consular process and apply for the ten year bar at one of the toughest CIS offices in the world. I end up in a deportation process where I have to attend a CIS office every week to confirm my identity and address, at the same time, they also had to come to my place on a weekly basis to confirm my identity and address. I gave up hopes and decided to go back to my country after 8 years struggle. I decided to go visit my friends in Philadelphia before returning to my country. Then, it happened that l tell my story to someone, that person asked me to visit an attorney and give it a shot. I didn't listen, I was hopeless. Few days later, I decided to go see, Kristofer Charles Kaufmann, an attorney in Center City of Philadelphia. I met him and explained to him my situation, what I went through and how much money I had to spend hopelessly. He told me that my case can be solved and I don't have to leave. First, I didn't take the joke from him, that's how it sounded to me, I thought he was joking about it but he was serious. Anyway, I decided to retain him and his fees were really reasonable. It took him less than a year and one court appearances to get my status fixed and hold my green card in my hands. Later, I statted referring clients for him regardless if it is an immigration case or not and all were happy and completely satisfied about him. It is really hard to find an honest and comitted attorney about his job. I really recommend him if not retain at least a consult and hope he will meet expectations just like what he did to me and other clients. Thank you Kristofer Charles Kaufmann, you are truly the best!!!
