I chose John to be my lawyer because of his perfect google reviews. After hiring him I realized he must of scrubbed his negative reviews because I later learned that he was disbarred in the past therefore past clients had negative experiences as he had to pay them back money. So there is a possibilit...y that this review will be removed too. Regarding my case, I feel he did not prepare me for the hearing. 95% of my case for breach of lease was the tenant changing the locks on the common area door therefore I was unable to access the vacant unit. All of my proof of these occurrences were in police reports which were not available by the day of court as It takes at least 12 weeks to have a full report and a copy is mailed to your address not handed to you. John advised me to collect all of the DC #'s and the judge wanted nothing to do with them as he wanted a report he could read. Also prior to court, John never advised me on what to bring to court such as receipts from locks and the locksmith in order to help my case. Perhaps I should have known to bring them on my own but it did not occur to me to do so as I have never been to eviction court. I felt that John should have requested to postpone the hearing since the DC #'s would not be accepted and as a consequence the tenant simply denied it and the case was dismissed. Now I may have to sell my property because there is income from a unit my tenant is denying me access to which will help pay the mortgage.
