First off, thanks Judge Lacey. You performed the ceremony and my wife and I have since been married for 20 years this February. Aside from that, before I was married, I had gotten a ticket from the code enforcer for the house I was fixing up for my future (at the time) wife. I sat in Judge Lacey's c...ourtroom all day and heard every case. At the end, I found out that the ticket had been thrown out because common sense prevailed and they knew I was working on the house. Anyway, that day that I sat in Judge Lacey's court, I watched and listened as he took each case and applied common sense and wisdom not seen since Solomon. He looked at each situation and came up with a judiciary solution that was good for the community and in the best interests of the offenders. One that particularly sticks in my mind was for a coulple of kids... they had done some vandalism behind the old Pantry Pride grocery store in Darby, and Judge Lacey ordered them to go there with trash bags and clean the place up. "Whatever God did not put there, you will pick up." He didn't give them a fine, didn't send to juvenile hall, he gave them a task they would not soon forget. I know I haven't. My wife and I have been talking about maybe having a full blown wedding for our 20th anniversary, but I would still want Judge Lacey to perform the ceremony (again) if he could.
