Steer clear of this “lawyer”

Constantly asked for money. Called me late one night drunk. Failed to file on time. Bankruptcy case did not work. Lost my home. Find a real attorney.

BEWARE OF THIS ATTORNEY! His inept representation in my bankruptcy case has RUINED my life!

I was told by the partners of the law firm he was with at the time that this attorney was extremely experienced and knowledgeable in corporate and personal bankruptcy law. However, the opposite turned out to be true. He made numerous, serious, and costly mistakes which are still causing me tremendous... financial hardships, even years later. His knowledge of corporate bankruptcy law seemed to be extremely limited and his representation in my personal bankruptcy was frustrating, argumentative, and exhausting - not professional at all. If I didn't spend many, many hours researching the bankruptcy laws and then explain to him why I felt he was making bad decisions on my behalf, I would be in even worse financial shape than I am now. And if all of this hasn't given you a clear picture of the extremely unprofessional service I received from this attorney, I have one last example to share with you. Rather than spending time reviewing my case with me before my hearing began, he chose instead to walk around the courtroom handing out his business cards to other debtors and quoting them prices MUCH less than he was charging me!!! He overcharged me by thousands of dollars, refused to refund part of my retainer, and then willfully misrepresented those costs to the Bankruptcy Trustee and the Court. Bankruptcy is supposed to offer you a "fresh start" but because of this attorney, for me it was just the beginning of a horrible nightmare which continues even today!! I would NEVER recommend this attorney to anyone!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
