I made the mistake of hiring Patricia Ames of Ames Law Offices and hope no one will do the same. While I thought I was getting a trusted partner who shared my view of the facts, I was instead faced with my own lawyer threatening to sue me over a 1-star review left by somebody else so here is MY OWN 1...-star review: Although I was lured in by a reassuring introductory call about my situation and promises that my case would be handled swiftly and professionally, no work was actually being done while I was led to believe we were waiting on the court to respond. After suggesting that we improve our communication going forward to avoid unnecessary delays, Patricia grew deeply offended and paranoid. A couple of days later I received the unanswered and complete emails below falsely accusing me of leaving a poor review and threatening to sue me over Christmas. If you’re like me and want to reduce the needless drama in your life, don’t hire Patricia. If you’re like me and don’t appreciate being falsely accused by someone you’ve hired to help you, don’t hire Patricia. If you’re like me and don’t want your own lawyer threatening you over Christmas vacation all because some other person was dissatisfied with her work, don’t hire Patricia. However, if you think a lawyer with zero judgement, tact, or interest in your case will benefit you, or if you believe that the reaction below sounds well reasoned and sober, than you should absolutely hire Patricia Ames and Godspeed: Hopefully she remains just as hungry and motivated to represent you after she takes my “half million dollars”. Email 1 (12/22/2024 3:09PM): If this is you, I would suggest removing your defamatory review before a lawsuit is filed for defamation. I do not play around about business defamation. I will get the info is need through subpoenas which have already gone out. Email 2 (12/22/2024 4:33PM) You're still going to be sued for the one star given that that is speech aimed at defaming my business. Have a happy Christmas because I will be suing for at least half million when it's over.
