I live at some distance from the Wilkes-Barre area. In the summer of 2018, I put my information on a hookup site and received a reply from an interested young female, describing herself as local to my area. However, after I had sent her enough info to be identifiable online -- and identified as a m...arried man -- the young woman threatened to take my printed messages to my wife and my workplace, unless I paid her hush money. Turns out she was Pittston-based, and never lived in my local area, ever. Her sole purpose on the site was to extort men like me. For six months I paid her, and lived a life of sheer terror, with panic attacks in the idle of the night, weight loss, etc. Several WB-area law firms listened to my situation and determined that they couldn't help me, or flat-out refused to get involved in such a mess.
