I'm a financial planner and when one of my clients lost her 29 year-old son abruptly, John couldn't have been more helpful. My client's son died with less than $10,000 in liquid assets. Unsurprisingly he did not have a will, nor did he have any named beneficiaries on his investment/bank accounts.... To complicate matters further, my client and her son were originally from Pennsylvania. However, she recently moved to New Jersey and her son had just recently moved to Florida. You would think this could be accomplished easily as it sounds so reasonable and the right thing to do right? WRONG. Dying without a will and without beneficiaries on the investment accounts made this an extremely burdensome task, especially when you're dealing with multiple states. John thought outside the box and crafted a brilliant solution. What I admired most about John was that he was compassionate and he did it for little or no cost from what I recall. The cost of legal fees could have easily exceeded what the entire estate was worth! Attorney John Novak is one of the best if not the best attorneys I've ever dealt with.
