Patrick M. Rogan

I consulted, and have written a review of Mr. Rogan in July 2016 after a conversation ('free consultation') with Mr. Rogan regarding my sons' comptiontion of alcohol under the age 21 on June 7, 2016. During this brief conversation, Mr. Rogen stated to me "You're ahead of yourself, need to hire a law...yer, this is not free advice". After some research, on July 13, 2016, I hired Mr. Robert Munley. Not only did he try to convince me how I can - and should take care of my son's case myself, but was kind and empathethic. Not leaving anything to chance, I happily hired Mr. Munley anyway. I knew I was in good hands, as was my son.

I hired Mr.Rogan after my Arrest for DUI. He was very caring and helped put me at ease. The problem I have with his service was we agreed on a price and I was told there would be no additional charges. I paid him $3,500.00 up front and we went to the preliminary hearing after the hearing he told me t...hat the court was trying to help me but it would be my last chance since I was on probation for a second DUI. No sooner did my wife and I arrive home we received a phone call from MR.Rogan"s office stating that he reviewed similar cases to mine and it was going to cost me a total of $15,000.00 now mind you I was pleading guilty I was not going to trial. I told the woman from the office that I was not going to pay any more money that we agreed on a $3,500.00 fee in which I already paid in full I asked her to have Mr. Rogan call me to discuss. I never received that phone call. Then I received a phone call from the office asking if Mr.Rogan was still going to represent me and I said yes I already paid him then she told me that I had a court hearing the following day which I was not notified about that I had to pay him another $11,500.00 or he would not be in court. I was very scared at that point and asked her to please have Mr.Rogan call me he finally called me and said that the $3,500.00 I paid was for the preliminary hearing which is absurd because I know what he told me I would not hire a lawyer to go to 1 court date and then agree to pay him more but at this late juncture I was stuck so he agreed to a cost of $10,000 total, I then told him I could give him a check tomorrow when we went to court. He then objected to that I then had to meet his Nephew Dan who is also a Lawyer and I paid him $4,000in cash at a diner in town like some sort of drug deal. Then Mr. Rogan never came to court again he sent his junior lawyer Nephew Dan to represent me for the balance of my court dates. Then I paid the balance of $1,500 in cash which then Mr .Rogan took off $500.00 because I paid in cash. so in the end I paid him $9,500.00. I felt that I was taken advantage of in a very difficult time in me and my Families life. Even after being taken advantage of financially The thing that was even worse was not having my phone calls returned in a timely manner , I was also not told the truth about my sentence until 5 days before sentencing Mr ..Rogan sent a junior lawyer to represent me when I hired Mr .Rogan not his Nephew Dan. Don't get me wrong Dan was a fine guy but after being taken for $9,500.00 I expected the senior attorney. Believe me I had no illusions of staying out of Jail but this man was not honest and upfront with me. I could have paid $2,500.00 for the same results. Even after I was in jail and my wife had some questions they did not return her phone calls. If you use these guy's make sure you get the cost upfront and in writing and ask who will represent you. I would never use or recommend them to my worst enemy. BTW I received 15 mont;hs to 6 years in a state prison for my 3rd DUI PLUS 3 COUNTS OF WRECKLESS ENDANGERMENT. I hired Pat Rogan for the first time over a year ago. He immediately was on the case. Not only did he live up to his word on what he could offer, but he was always honest and gave us the best and worst case scenario. He Never promised something he was uncertain about, however he was always the victor... in the courtroom. He is also very compassionate. He Always called to check on our well being and to make sure we were holding up alright. He is very talented and knows the law. I have hired him for a 2nd case recently and was not disappointed by any means. I was actually blown away with the miracles he pulled in that courtroom. I will never hire a different attorney for any case regardless how small or complex the case may be.
