James Robert Elliott

This is one of the worst lawyers I’ve come across!! He advised my brother to waive his preliminary then turns around and lies and said he didn’t. When my brother tells Mr. Elliot he wants to go to trial Mr. Elliot tells him well you shouldn’t have waived your preliminary. Like what?! You’re his lawye...r you’re there to advise and he took your advice. My brother is begging this guy to go to trial and Mr. Elliot will not try and set a trial date Instead he hung up on my brother for demanding a trial date. He gives my brother every excuse as to why he should take a plea deal. This guy hasn’t talked to witnesses, he forgot to get paperwork signed for my brothers Rehab, and he never answers the phone. Mind you the state has a weak case. He’s in correspondence with my brother’s codefendant exposing sensitive information. The codefendant contacted Mr. Elliot trying to take responsibility for the case by writing a letter but Mr. Elliot doesn’t want that. In my opinion this Lawyer doesn’t work for his clients. He may say he’s a defense lawyer but this guy works for the state. I can go on and on but if you’re looking for a defense lawyer please don’t waste your money with this guy. This guy has the nerve to be on the court appointed list in Lackawanna County. THE WORST LAWYER!! This is the type of lawyer that gives all lawyers bad names
