Garrett Ross Benner

We retained Garrett to be our attorney after a bus driver hit our son ON VIDEO. Mr. Benner dragged the case out telling us that the school district was settling and he was negotiating with the school attorney. He never returned emails or phone calls even when we made an appointment with his secretary... to have a phone conference. Once the case was past the statute of limitations for filing a suit against the school district, he let us know that the district no longer wanted to settle. Big surprise. And here's the kicker! He never told us that his partner's brother was married to the principal of the middle school that our son attended in the district that we're suing! Can anyone spell "CONFLICT OF INTEREST"? Needless to say, we've moved onto another attorney. Word to the wise, "Dont't use this guy! A deceitful man and a complete waste of time".

I would never ever recommend Garett Benner we are currently working with him and I'd do anything to not be working with him anymore . He was very informative when we first met promised us he'd stay informed , keep in contact and many other things. Well all was a lie!!! He never answers call or emai...ls, refuses to explain anything to us an just is slow and unprofessional . We are already dealing with a tough situation and to top it off now I have someone representing me who does and seems to know nothing . The only reason I did get a call back last week after 17 calls in and 5 emails was because I threatened to file a complaint to the board about him. Please just stay away take advice from us and the other reviews ! I looking for advice how to switch lawyers.

Garrett did my divorce, he advertise divorce done in 3 months (uncontested) he took 14 months to get my divorce done after constant phone calls and messages he sometimes never return. He is quick to bill you and collect his money but he is very slow to get your case done in a Timely manner. My divor...ce was finalized exactly 18 days before he call me to inform me. I actually call the court 2 days after my divorce was granted and went there and get my divorce decree, then call Garrett and pretend I don't have any info and asked him about my divorce.He told me he would call the court and check and call me right back he never did. If he did he would have found out my divorce was granted. He never call me back until 16 days later. To top it off I went to pick up my divorce decree and he had it open up on the counter for every one to see it.....it was not in an envelope I could just walk in and picked it up without anyone seeing me. Very, very unprofessional.
