I had a very difficult divorce and custody battle with my former spouse. Through everything Tim was thorough and straightforward. He helped me not only prepare for the legal procedures but also what outcomes I could expect, helping me separate emotion from the reality. To give some context for my review - I had a relatively simple divorce case. Few assets in play, nothing estate related, all property was marital property but virtually nothing in dispute. Despite this being what should qualify as a "simple" case, I quickly discovered that no divorce is simple. Tim h...elped inform my understanding of the various assets in play, what could be negotiated, what to fight for, and what to avoid. He explained things in simple terms, he helped me understand the various options and outcomes that could come from each and allowed me to select the path that best fit with my goals. In between consultations Tim was readily available via email and always responded promptly and with enough information for me to make my next decision. One other thing that he did that greatly set him apart from other lawyers I have interacted with in the past - he submitted drafts of each document that had to be sent to opposing counsel and/or filed with the court. This gave me a chance to make sure I understood what was happening at each step as well as kept me in tune with the timeframe of when things were happening which was incredibly valuable and helpful for me - being in a joint custody situation with my ex spouse meant I still had to see her weekly and so knowing what communications she was getting and when helped me to know what to expect. I would absolutely recommend Tim Reese based on my experiences with him and his firm.
