Alexander Donald Egner

I am a former prosecutor and U.S. Army Military Police Officer, and I rely on that experience to deliver focused, effective criminal defense for clients across Pennsylvania. I have secured hundreds of acquittals and dismissals in Lancaster County and beyond, and I take pride in providing the highest level of protection for people facing serious charges.

I graduated from Dickinson College as the school’s first triple major in Political Science, History, and Middle East Studies, and I earned a security certificate through the U.S. Army War College. After completing active duty, I attended the Penn State Dickinson School of Law and went on to serve as an Assistant District Attorney in Lancaster County.

During my time as a prosecutor, I handled major cases in the general trial, DUI, Domestic Violence, and Juvenile units. I later led the Expungement unit and the Welfare Fraud division and prosecuted Small Games of Chance and Bingo Law matters. This background gives me a deep understanding of how cases are built and how to challenge them effectively.

In 2020, my law partner and I left the District Attorney’s Office to form Chieppor & Egner, a firm dedicated entirely to criminal defense. Since then, we have grown into one of the region’s leading defense practices, appearing in court nearly every day and fighting for the best outcomes for our clients.

Because of my trial experience and reputation in the legal community, many of my cases come through referrals from attorneys, court personnel, and community leaders. I am often asked to travel across Pennsylvania to represent clients who need a strong, knowledgeable advocate on their side.
