Luann Battersby served as counsel to my father’s estate, for which I was legal representative. During that engagement she provided me with excellent legal advice and clear guidance on how to handle all of the steps involved in the probate process of my late father’s estate. This was especially sig...nificant given that most of the required legal activities and court deadlines were conducted when there were extra challenges imposed by the coronavirus. Luann Battersby is, by far, the best lawyer I have ever worked with. She is thorough, detailed, personable, understanding, willing to go the extra mile, and has a great sense of humor. She came to our home and brought the notary and witness with her to get signatures on the prepared documents. She r...eally made it extremely easy. She was understanding of my insistence on social distancing, hand sanitizing, and mask wearing very early on in the pandemic, before we even really understood how to protect ourselves. We were done signing in a matter of minutes. In previous dealings with other lawyers, every time they lifted a finger it cost extra. She charged me for the job, not for the time investment. Let me tell you, it took considerably more time than was decent. Baltimore City took almost a year to process our paperwork. At one point, we thought the paperwork was lost. Ms. Battersby offered to re-do the paperwork at no extra cost, even though it was completely not her fault. Baltimore city, on a good day is tragic, but during the COVID pandemic, it was sheer luck that allowed things to work out. Ms. Battersby was a real trooper, in that she called and knocked on doors to try to make a way out of no way. I appreciate her tenacity and professionalism very much. I would recommend her without reservation. She is an absolutely phenomenal lawyer.
