BEWARE!!!! I retained Catherine Niven for my wc and disability cases, when it came time to negotiate with the insurance company she wanted me to start negotiating at a every small amount so the insurance company would jump at the price and it would settle fast, she told me my case didnt look that goo...d, at this point I fired her and retained another lawyer who said he hasn't seen a case as good as mine in years and started negotiations at 10 times what she wanted me to settle for! I ended up settling for 5 times what she said to with my other attorney! She also did no work on my disability case, which I won with my other attorney, and she had the balls to file a petition for the fee of the case that she didn't work on! I now have to fight to get my current attorney thier pay from the case with is rightfully thier money that they worked for by going to court a mnd fighting for me! She has withdrawn her representation in my case but not her fee! If you want your case run through the mud then hire Catherine Niven otherwise get someone else!!

This Lawyer had an attorney on my workers comp case named Victoria Edwards who was great, but she left for another firm. Katherine Niven took over and my case went to hell. I had to settle for less than what I would have lost for a year of lost wages which I have been off work for over a year. She ru...shed me through the paper signing because they were calling us to get in front of the judge. They said to waive my right to appeal because it would speed up me getting my money. Then I find out that workers comp is only responsible for $2,000.00 of total medical bills for over a year and I am responsible for the rest. My attorney recieved her portion of the settlement and my check written out to her and me and refuses to give me any money till she see's how much is owed. That is fine but the insurance Co. had 30 days to respond and they haven't and she still refuses to give me any money. She wants me to look up information that she should be doing and was paid to do. She has hung up on me several times and asked that I dont call her office and has even called me a prick. Very unproffesional. I would not recommend this attorney to my worst enemy. Anyone is willing to call me and go into detail about this woman and her practices. She was even a workers comp judge and I feel she should be familiar with the workers comp laws instead of wanting me to do her leg work.
