Out of hot water

Alan is a very warm and caring person, making him easy to talk to. The first thing that impressed me is that unlike at her attorneys, Alan was always accessible. He either answered the phone or returned my calls promptly. I used Alan's services in several cases in which I faced possible jail t...ime. He showed up to court promptly and was dressed to impress. I was impressed with his professionalism and confidence. Alan seemed to have a respectful working relationship with the attorneys and judges related to my cases, leaving me confident in my chances of a positive outcome. Alan was able to get the best possible deal for me, including several dropped charges. He kept me free and I will forever be thankful to him. That's one phone number that I'll never lose.

AT

I highly recommend Alan. He’s very professional, quick, and helpful. I was in a bad financial situation that he was able to work with, and I had two separate cases. One being a small amount of marijuana and the second being a domestic violence. He was able to take care of both cases at once along wit...h being able to work along with my work schedule for court dates. He was able to get some charges dropped and the domestic dropped down to a disorderly conduct. I was very pleased with the end result, and I will be recommending Alan to anyone that asks if I know of a good attorney.

Possession/paraphernalia charge from State Police down to summary

Quick, easy communication and up front about expected outcome. Showed up to the prelim and it was already handled, then once in the courtroom was able to again reduce the fines. No criminal charges and reduced fines. Very satisfied with the results.

Please Save Your Money

This attorney is a JOKE. I retained him for court and he shows up so late to the first hearing, that they had to reschedule my hiring. He talks over you. He swears at you when your trying to talk to him. Told me NEVER TO CALL HIS PHONE with questions. I will be filing a complaint at the bar associat...ion. He rushed my case just to get me out come that I could have done myself. He a embarrassment. Paid him $600 to be talked down too. It was so bad that I never heard of an attorney siding with a public servant. The cop talked to him like he was talking to me only difference is he got chewed out for free and I paid him $600 to talk down to me.

The Worst 4 Years of My Life - Avoid This Man At ALL Costs

Alan Michael Ross was by far the worst attorney I've ever experienced in my lifetime. He is entirely 100% monetarily driven, even after you've paid the retainer, he asks for MORE money. Anyways... My case started in September 2010, and it dragged on until June 2014. Yes... 4 years. He never ...once kept me informed as to what was going on and when. The only reason I knew about upcoming court dates was because I kept up with my own docket and could see the scheduling. Multiple times he failed to even appear to my court hearings and would have some bogus excuse. He actually used the excuse that his kids were sick just about every single time. In September of 2013, I showed up for court and Alan was nowhere to be found. He later text messaged me that his children were sick and he would be unable to attend court today, but he was going to "send an email" to have it continued to a later date. Only 3 days later I get a call from Alan that a bench warrant was issued for my arrest for failure to appear in court - a fact that was ENTIRELY HIS FAULT. He told me to flee the area for the evening and to stay with a friend. Well, I had no luck finding a friend that would let me stay at their place w/ a warrant. So I had to fork out the money from my own pocket to stay in a hotel for the evening. The next day, I went out of town with my family, only to receive a frantic call from a neighbor that cops were banging on my front door in the evening for OVER 2 HOURS. All the while, I was calling Alan repeatedly, asking what I should do, leaving voicemails, text messaging him. I heard nothing from him. No answer on the phone, no reply, nothing. This was on a FRIDAY, and my neighbor was absolutely petrified - as she had no clue what was going on. Now I spent that weekend trying to find a new attorney to replace Alan Ross, as he had failed to represent me to the best of his ability (I mean really? Not answering your phone after you get a client a BENCH WARRANT for your negligence?) Every attorney answered me. I ended up talking to several other attorneys about the matter, and one of which said he knew Alan and would make a phone call for me. He called Alan and no more than 5 minutes went after getting off the phone with the other attorney, then did I receive a TEXT from Alan that said "We will have you in court Monday" - no apology, no explanation. Well, come Monday, I hear not a word from Alan, yet again. I ended up having to call my bondsman and he attended court with me to get my bail reinstated and get me back in good standing with the court and the judge. I later messaged Alan and asked if I could get my case file so I could hire a new attorney and he replied with "What? I'm confused? Why do you want to seek new council?" - to which I explained that he was MIA for days on end. His response was "I was out of the office for a week" - so explain this to me: you get a bench warrant for a client and then decide to take off for a week and STRAND THE CLIENT? Wow. On my sentencing date in June of 2014, he first continued it (not even showing up to court), and then he sent me a TEXT MESSAGE 10 minutes before the final court hearing was in session telling me he wasn't going to be coming and that I "didn't need him" for the sentencing date. I PAID YOU TO REPRESENT ME AND YOU FAILED TO DO THAT. I heard from both the ADA and the kind woman in charge of IP sentencing that he failed to return calls, answer calls, and even reply to messages such as texts and emails - all in regards to my case. A statement that I later discovered to be completely untrue, it was actually that Alan neglected to return calls to the individual regarding my case. Thank you for that!
