Michael McAuliffe Miller

As the Borough Manager of the Borough of Mechanicsburg, a town of over 9,000 people in Central Pennsylvania, I have had the pleasure of working with Mike for almost 6 years. Michael Miller has been tasked with providing advice and legal counsel on both the Borough's uniformed and non-uniformed unions.... Michael has been wonderful to work with and his confidence within his subject matter generates sound recommendations. This, matched with his attention to detail, has led to several favorable contract settlements in the Borough. In addition, when required,Michael excels in arbitration hearings. While these hearings can be stressful for management and Borough Council, Michael's professionalism and preparedness always leave me and my Borough Council members who have been in attendance impressed. Not only is he prepared, but the Borough's most recent arbitration award was more than favorable. Michael has been a complete and total asset to the Borough and has been an integral part of developing sound labor policies that have not only brought continuity to the Borough but also have saved tens of thousands in dollars in personnel related costs. Michael also has an essential ability to make esoteric labor matters comprehensible to Borough Council leading to greater understanding and strong levels of support from the elected officials. This is so important as it allows for cohesiveness in the organizational system. Any other manager who is seeking labor counsel, who asks my opinion, I always recommend Michael Miller without hesitation.
