Did not meet expectations
Hired Patrick Laurer to defend my case. He did not meet my expectations. I expected more for how much money that I paid. He was hard to work with. He did everything last minute. I ended signing guilty charges for assault when I was attacked in my own home. I did not receive a military discount after...
YOU ultimately chose to plead guilty in open court. I tried to get the prosecutor to drop the assault charge completely, but the prosecutor would not do so as the victim opposed. I was able to negotiate a plea to summary, Harassment. I would have gladly gone to Trial for this summary offense, but you did not want to do so and fully accepted responsibility for your actions in open court and was even colloquied by the Judge that this plea was knowingly, voluntarily and intelligently made. You wanted to accept the negotiated plea agreement, which consisted of significantly reduced charges and reduced sentence. You were facing significant jail time. You had the right to withdraw your guilty plea and/or appeal your case and were advised of those rights, and you chose not to do so. As for the military discount, as soon as you advised you had been in the military, some time after retaining us, I did provide a military discount. I wish you all the best.

Unprepared,disheveled

I pride myself on exceptional preparation and wearing the finest clothing. I hate to lose any case, even a speeding case or littering. It is difficult to respond to someone who has chosen to remain anonymous. It is unusual for someone to write a review three years after the fact.

Run away
Listen if you are guilty, any bum can tell you to take a plea deal and accept a plea deal on your behalf. He calls himself the the DUI King. If you are dumb enough to drink and drive don’t be dumb enough to call this guy. If you are innocent you are better off fighting your own cases like I did- I w...
Nathan was convicted at a summary trial for weight restrictions while operating a tractor trailer. The Trooper had all the regulations and photographs of all signage clearly stating Nathan operating the tractor illegally. I initially tried to get the Trooper to reduce the charges and he agreed to reduce the fines by over $2,000.00. Nathan did not want to take the deal and I fought hard to get the case dismissed but he was convicted of all charges. The Trooper was never notified of the correct appeal date and he did not appear and Nathan won his case on appeal. I am glad Nathan won his case on appeal.

Do not use please!! You will be in a world of hurt with Pat
I was arrested in the end of 2016 for assault that was nonviolent or physical. I have used Patrick Lauer in the past with positive results. I have not used pat in about 7 years. My experience with Patrick was terrible this time. He is definitely not the attorney he used to be. As a license professio...
I have been practicing criminal defense for 33 years and pride myself on preparation and winning. I have never lost a murder or sex case at trial and have represented over 10,000.00 clients. It is difficult to reply to an anonymous person. I do remember this case and I fought hard at the preliminary hearing for a dismissal but the victim who was terrorized about the individual would not agree to reduce the charge. I do note his new attorney handled the case for next to nothing but because of my experience and caseload I cannot reduce my fees. It should be noted this individual did not state he had to do 6 days in jail for a summary offense. I humbly believe if Kyle would have continued with my representation he would not have gone to jail.
"Patrick Lauer is a top renowned board certified trial attorney, very highly qualified in DUI and criminal defense in Pennsylvania. He is the author of Pennsylvania Drunk Driving Defense. I highly recommend him."
