Excellent Legal Team – Charges Dismissed!

I had a great experience working with Patrick F. Lauer, Jr., Esquire, and Heather N. Orisko, Esquire. They were highly professional, thorough, and dedicated in handling my traffic case. Thanks to their expertise, all charges were dismissed at the Summary Trial. They truly fought for me, and their att...ention to detail and legal knowledge made a huge difference. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for strong, effective legal representation. Thank you for all your hard work!

Traffic Citation

I called with a traffic citation case a few days before the hearing was scheduled. Heather answered the phone and was very friendly & informative. I was given a military discount and gladly accepted Mr. Lauer’s representation. The day of trial, I had obligations I had to attend to and wasn’t able to ...attend the hearing. Mr. Lauer represented me against a disgruntled officer who wasn’t willing to ‘back down’ and rather than getting a reduced charge, I ended up receiving a not-guilty determination from the Judge. I am very pleased with Mr, Lauer’s professionalism, excellent representation/ lawyering, and would recommend his services to those in question.

Wonderful Communication and Responsiveness

We obtained good results from skilled attorneys, Heather Orisko and Patrick Lauer. They were wonderful with their communication & responsiveness. We would not hesitate to recommend or hire them again, if needed. Our daughter received her first and only traffic ticket for a high rate of speed on a... PA highway. We made the mistake of advising her to pay the large fine thinking that would be punishment enough. Later we realize by paying the ticket, it was actually admitting to a guilty conviction, leading to even greater consequences with insurance, points, and possible suspension. Thank goodness the Law Offices of Patrick Lauer came to our rescue and represented us. They were able to negotiate a plea to reduce the speed of the infraction. The plea also help us avoid making the trip from out of state. Both attorneys worked together to negotiate on our daughter’s behalf. Heather answered my endless questions about options and the various procedures through phone calls and email. She even gave me tips on local hotels and parking for court house. Patrick was quick and to the point while on the other line with the DA’s office, then he called back to follow up. They are an amazing team. Nice people, great service! Our only regret was that we didn’t contact them sooner!!

A Delight!

Patrick and Heather are a delight to work with. It was the first time I've ever had to go to summary trial for traffic court and they made the process less stressful and were helpful in answering all my questions. I appreciated their attention to detail and they treated me with great respect even tho...ugh my case was relatively small. They helped me keep my license and reduced my fine! Thank you so much and I highly recommend!

Run away

Listen if you are guilty, any bum can tell you to take a plea deal and accept a plea deal on your behalf. He calls himself the the DUI King. If you are dumb enough to drink and drive don’t be dumb enough to call this guy. If you are innocent you are better off fighting your own cases like I did- I w...on my appeal. Don't ever do business with someone who believes it is never right to offer a refund. Who doesn't believe it is possible a refund would ever be appropriate. I am dissatisfied not because the case didn't go my way but because the case verdict was wrong largely in part because I had a bad attorney. When I hired the Law Offices of Patrick F Lauer I was expecting a professional with expertise, skill, wisdom, knowledge concerning the law and legal matters. I was expecting someone with the work ethic to do the job right. But I received none of those. He had the unjust fines of 3,883 sustained. At my appeal I defended myselfand won. His associate was scheduled to represent me on 1/3/17 however Patrick Lauer showed up late instead. 1/7/17 I had contacted his office/ several times by phone speaking with both Patrick F Lauer and Heather Obrisko as well as by email. I expressed my displeasure, I told them I would be appealing my case and requested a refund. I said if I win my case it would reflect poorly on their office. I have the letter they sent me dated 1/10/2017. It states “Prior to the Summary Trial, we thoroughly discussed that the officer had photographs designating strict weight requirements and restricted trucks except for local deliveries.” “I was able to get the officer to agree to a reduction in fine” “I even told you it would be unlikely from experience that District Judge would reduce the fine if you elected to go through with a hearing and was found guilty.” “Attorney Orisko and I both believe that you should have accepted the negotiated plea agreement.” “representation for negotiations with law enforcement, obtaining a favorable plea agreement which was ultimately rejected by you and represented you at the Summary Trial” “There is no refund simply because you now have remorse over not accepting the plea deal. You should have taken the deal.” Signed by Patrick F. Lauer and Heather N. Orisko I was even offered the same plea deal at my appeal and I refused it again. As evident by their letter they were only interested in accepting a plea deal and heading home. Apparently they never thought to consider I was actually innocent or to argue for my innocence. After I won my appeal I contacted the offices of Patrick F Lauer and requested a refund but they refused. On 5/18/17 by phone I spoke to Patrick Lauer. I requested a refund. I told him I won my appeal. He then changed his story and insisted that it wasn’t his fault. And he said more than once that we had a “terrible judge“. I had disagreed with the ruling of Judge Michael J Smith. But never once had my wife or I blamed him or thought he had done any wrong. We knew what the problem was-bad service from the Law Offices of Patrick F Lauer. I asked probably 10 times don't you believe in customer satisfaction. I am unsatisfied because of lousy service, lack of effort, lack of expertise, lack of character. I originally spoke and made arrangements for his associate Heather Orisko to represent me. But she was a no show. He was late. He was rude. I argued that the sign used was confusing improper and inappropriate to justify a weight restriction. I was right. He seemed unprepared and unfamiliar with my case or the laws concerning my case. As far as I could tell he never researched or reviewed my case. He came in insisting I should take a plea deal. I finally had to say to him are you working for me or for them? He said for me but I was unconvinced. It was evident to me Patrick Lauer was only concerned with obtaining a plea deal. As though the authorities are always right and I am guilty until proven innocent.

Nathan was convicted at a summary trial for weight restrictions while operating a tractor trailer. The Trooper had all the regulations and photographs of all signage clearly stating Nathan operating the tractor illegally. I initially tried to get the Trooper to reduce the charges and he agreed to reduce the fines by over $2,000.00. Nathan did not want to take the deal and I fought hard to get the case dismissed but he was convicted of all charges. The Trooper was never notified of the correct appeal date and he did not appear and Nathan won his case on appeal. I am glad Nathan won his case on appeal.
