Katherine Louise McDonald

My wife and I had scheduled an appointment with Katherine McDonald for a custody case when my ex wife filed for custody after 8 years of divorce. We arrived at the consultation 5 minutes early and were there for 30 minutes before I went out to ask how much longer. We were told that no one ever noti...fied Katherine and that since it was late, she wouldn't see us anymore and had to reschedule. I asked if she could at least come and introduce herself and she still refused. We were there with our 10 month old trying to keep him quiet as to not disturb everyone else for 45 minutes to be told you need to come back. After emailing her telling her our situation and how I had to get reprimanded at work for going to the appointment, the only reply I got was "sorry for the inconvenience" and "there was nothing I personally could do" pretty much telling us that we don't matter and the time we wasted wasn't important. I followed up with my concerns about this happening again and asked for assurance that it was a one time thing and I would look to reschedule. The reply Katherine gave was "feel free to find other representation". Her care for her clients or prospective clients is not there. She showed zero empathy towards us even though we did everything right by getting there early and being patient when she wasn't there on time. My recommendation is to do what she advised us to do and "find other representation". There are lawyers out there that will actually care and be sympathetic to your cause. If they care, they are more likely to put forth the best effort possible. From what my interaction with Katherine McDonald was, she doesn't care about the client/prospective client. There are plenty of good Family Law Attorney's out there that will care for your individual needs.

Katherine was wonderful. She works with a great combination of knowledge for law, wisdom in her field, and emotional support. She was honest with me and her responses were very kind, even when my communication was a little panicky. She took the time to understand the situation I was in and came up ...with a peaceful resolution that both parties could come to an agreement on. I am very grateful.

Worst attorney I've ever had. In the pre meetings she sounds like she will win you the world plus more. Then it comes time for action and all she wants to do is drag things on to make more money. You can tell her your wishes and everything you need and none of that matters. She will tell you straight... up you won't get this or that. It makes no sense im paying you to do a job and your telling me instantly you can't do that. You pay so much upfront thinking alright this will pay for it, but then bam lets double your bill when your done because she doesn't listen to her clients and their wishes. She's not what she makes herself out to be and honestly I don't see how any of these reviews are real besides the one star that I read. If I could give advice for someone looking to hire her for child custody DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH!

Katherine was very quick to get me on for a free consultation on short notice. She took the time to get to know me and my situation before we even talked about my case. I felt like she really cared about me as a person. She was honest and upfront about my chances, and wasn't just trying to take my... money. She knows the laws very well and gave me some valuable information. I would highly recommend her!
