Matthew J. Lager is a lifelong Pennsylvania resident, having lived in Bucks, Centre, and Erie counties.  Graduating from Council Rock High School North, he then attended The Pennsylvania State University’s main campus, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.  Afterwards, Matthew went on to earn his Juris Doctor from The Pennsylvania State University, The Dickinson School of Law.

 

While at Penn State Law, Matthew was a member of the Rural Economic Development Clinic, where he was recognized as a Public Interest Advocate for providing free legal assistance to small businesses in rural communities throughout the state.  Additionally, Matthew represented Penn State Law at the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, hosted yearly at Pace University in White Plains, New York.

 

Prior to joining Bernard Stuczynski Barnett & Lager, Matthew spent a summer serving as an interning law clerk to The Honorable Frank Palumbo of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, where he drafted judicial opinions for appeals to Pennsylvania’s Superior and Commonwealth courts.

 

Matthew’s practice is primarily focused on automobile accident cases, workers’ compensation claims, and Social Security disability claims.  As a rider himself, Matthew takes a special interest in representing injured bikers after motorcycle accidents.

Excellent Choice!
I was involved in an auto accident that was not my fault, but we both had the same insurance carrier. I hired Atty. Lager because I was worried that the insurance company would not be fair. To make matters worse, the other driver, an elderly gentlemen, later on passed away of natural causes. Atty. Lager stayed on top of everything, regularly updated me, and ended up getting me a settlement for more than I expected. I was completely satisfied with his representation, I would hire him again, and I have already recommended him to others.

Auto Accident
We were involved in a head on auto collision 1,000 miles from home. The driver of the other vehicle was @ fault & their insurance company was very supportive initially, but offered a low ball sum of money to settle/clear their liability. Attorney Lager represented our best interests while dealing with the insurance company's unreasonable claims adjuster & his approach to settle our claim. At all times Attorney Lager kept us well informed & rendered solid legal advice/guidance. Eventually, Attorney Lager was able to negotiate a reasonable settlement amount which we were very satisfied with. Bottom line, we were blessed to have Attorney Lager representing our best interests. We would highly recommend Matt Lager as the Attorney of first choice!

Attorney's work thorough and competent
