I'm going to be as detailed as I can to give others an idea of how impressed I am, but also if you are like me, you will look at the reviews (over and over) and want to know how fast it is and exactly how smooth it all went. On 3/6/24, I looked at Cairns's website after finding a post on Reddit in... a forum about online divorces. On that same day, I signed up for the "Rush" 4-8 week divorce at 7:17 a.m. I paid the total cost exactly as outlined on the website, at 7:35 a.m., I got my initial paperwork to send out from his office. I emailed back, one correction, I got the corrected version back at 10:30 a.m. then signed it, sealed it, and sent it off to my NOW ex-spouse the next day. (This initial paperwork is just notice to your future ex-spouse that you are filing a complaint for divorce). I also opted in for the concealed address for myself, and the name change which was all in the initial paperwork they sent. I emailed my ex-spouse whom I have not talked to for years and simply stated, "You'll be getting divorce papers, I paid for it all, just sign everything sent to you and mail it back and we can be divorced without even having to go to court". Never once did I even have to SPEAK to my ex, and it had been years since I last did. I was not even 100% sure I had the correct address for them. On 3/12/24, I got an email saying "We are now filing your divorce with the courts"...I was like "Woah", this is working. On 3/19/24, I got an email with my divorce paperwork to sign with a notary and very detailed instructions down to "use only blue ink to sign". I drove to UPS, used their notary service that same day, signed my paperwork, and sent it off. For good measure, because I had a copy of what my ex would need to sign, I popped that in the USPS mail as well with no return address (Cairns mailed it out too, but I'm a tad obsessive and wanted to double up on my efforts to finish this). I mailed back all my notarized documents exactly as instructed on that same day (3/19). On 3/26/24, I got an email from Cairns's office that said "We have received your signed documents". On 4/3/24, I got two emails from Cairns's office each with subjects that read; "Almost finished! We have received your divorce paperwork from you and will send the final divorce paperwork to the Court", and "We have received the name change document". On April 17, 2024, I received two emails from Cairns's office with subjects that read: 1. "The court has approved the name change" 2. Your divorce has been granted" Inside the final emails, I had a copy of my divorce decree, information about my "official divorce decree" being mailed out on 4/18/24 to my home, and information about how I needed to ensure my ex-spouse received this information too. I forwarded that email to my now-ex-spouse and BOOM, my divorce is done and over with. I emailed Cairns's office for corrections on that first day, 3/6/24, and never spoke to them via email again, because the instructions were so detailed and perfect, there was no need. I did all of this without a single phone call with Cairns's office, and zero hassle in any aspect of the process. I paid exactly what was requested, had no hidden fees, followed the instructions, and had no surprises outside of how simple this entire thing truly was. Living with anxiety and frustration for YEARS about the cost of divorce and the potential conflict with my spouse since being separated in 2019 could have been unnecessary if I had only known. Thank you to Cairns and the entire "team" behind the scenes for giving me back my peace of mind and helping me to close this chapter of my life!
