Easy Divorce
While I had no problem with this law firm, I did have a problem with their constant reminders of telling me how much I'd have to pay if I called them with a question or if I had a question after I'd submitted any paperwork. I realize that the cost was unbeatable, but I could tell that they really did...

Replied last September 22, 2023Thanks for taking the time to recommend and review my divorce services. I take my job very seriously and I care about each client. I was in your shoes once, too. I started my divorce law firm after I went through a tough divorce, with the idea that divorce didn't have to cost an arm and a leg, take forever, and that there could be clear, responsive, and proactive communications. I'm upfront about phone call fees from the beginning of the process in the Client Services Agreement. When you call, I also remind you so you aren't blindsided with fees. If I did not charge for each phone call, I'd have to raise my fees, which would undermine the whole reason I went into this business. Emails are always free, and they allow me to provide great service and control the workflow at the same time. I've only had a handful of clients pay a phone consultation fee since clients decide they'd rather save money and that an email is good enough. I hope this explanation is helpful.

They got the job done
Hired Mr Cairns in April of 2019. Due to a stubborn ex-spouse it took 6 months to get my divorce granted, which was no fault of Mr Cairns. Replied last November 05, 2019Hi Julian, I'm sorry that you feel that you were treated rudely. I have carefully reviewed all the correspondence between my office and you, and cannot see where we were rude. We answered all of your questions promptly and professionally. Even with your spouse's delay, we were able to obtain your divorce decree for you withing the time-frame that we estimated. We do have an answering service that forwards calls to us. It is possible that you were asking them questions that they would not have been able to answer. As you know, once a case is started, the best way to contact us is through email, which is always free of charge, so I'm not sure why you would have had occasion to call. At any rate, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience, and while this is the first time I've had a complaint about them in over 8, I will certainly have a word with the answering service to be sure we are on the same page. Thank you for your review.
