I can't begin to describe how wonderful Mildred Sweeney is and how much she has helped in a rather long custody dispute. I came to her with only "supervised visitation" of my two children that I helped raise and left at the end with more then what I could have hoped and asked for. Not only did she he...lp end my divorce, but she traveled the dark waters of child sharing with the underdog parent. Mildred is personal and cares and really gets deep into her cases. Not only did she direct me on what to do and when to do it, but she fought tooth and nail when the time came. Please, do yourself a favor and look no further. Mildred will forever have my business and I can never thank her enough for what she has helped me gain- my roles back as a father in my childrens lives.

While the initial consultation was positive and resulted in the decision to employ her firm's services, everything that came after was the equivalent of taking a pile of money, setting it outside, and lighting it on fire. Absolutely no proactive communication nor updates on the status of proceedings.... No monthly invoices sent (electronically nor physically) to indicate what charges/time was being spent. They charged me for a settlement agreement that was drafted by my ex-wife's lawyer. What do you get for $275/hour compared to competing lawyers? A lighter wallet. After their services were no longer requires, they decided to tack on YET ANOTHER charge for 30 minutes of time to prepare a final bill, which was somehow not included in the hundreds of dollars extra charged after the dust had settled. Outside of driving paperwork and filing it, the amount charged for very little administrative work is ridiculous. As noted, an initial consultation for advice is reasonably priced and well justified. For the actual process and associated services involved with the full fledged legal proceedings, you're better and more cost effectively served elsewhere.

Never return calls or emails. Total waste of money. after our first emergency hearing that we lost, I was never told there were steps we could of taken to help my case, I was then passed to Heather her associate and more of the same, No answers to phone calls or emails My child support reduction pap...ers were never filed. after repeat phone calls and emails that were unanswered the front desk clerk told me I could file them my self???? Why did I hire this firm if I should do their work? I have wasted almost a year paying child support to my ex who the courts think I only have my son every other weekend but we have a 50/50 split. My ex abandoned our son for 7 weeks and she was no where to be found, and I tried to get ahold of Heather to ask what we can do, and I'm still waiting for that return phone call.

I met with Mildred seeking mediation with my soon to be ex wife and she just wasted time, had no agenda, couldn't get anything done. Don't go to consult or use this lawyer in a matter of Diviorce or separation. She had no problem taking my money and even asked me about my finances to see if I cou...ld pay for a divorce.

If you are serious about protecting or even having to save your grandchildren from their parents/step-parents, you can find no better ally than Mildred Sweeney. Over the last four years she devised and led a legal challenge that not only saved our grandchild from a surgically implanted feeding ...tube but gave us legally guaranteed visitation in Pennsylvania and beyond. At almost every step of the way, she warned us that we probably “didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell”, but somehow she overcame those odds. Mildred does not give false hope nor does she avoid discussing the difficult choices that have to be made. She does investigate all the laws involved and searches for support whenever it is needed.
