I NEEDED IMMEDIATE HELP WITH CHILD CUSTODY. I HAD TO CONSTANTLY CALL AND ASK WHAT WAS GOING ON. THERE WAS ALWAYS A EXPLINATION OF SOME SORT ABOUT THE DELAY. Anastasa Williams was court appointed to represent me. I really didn’t need an attorney, but it was customary for this type of proceeding. Maybe if I was paying out of pocket, she would have been more responsive... I only spoke to her once, besides the hearing. She was reassuring during that conversa...tion. I had one question when we spoke, and she promised to get back to me, but never did. I left a few messages via text and phone to remind her as well, but she ignored my messages. I wouldn’t recommend her for that reason.

I contacted Attorney Williams for a legal proceeding regarding the amendment of a birth certificate. When we first spoke, I was told this would take 2-3 months tops, only due to paperwork moving slow through the court system.. We are now well over a year and this is finally being resolved, only becau...se I have kept pushing and pushing (daily emails and calls). At one point, I even emailed asking if I needed to find another attorney because a had received no response for almost a month. On several occasions, I was told I would have paperwork mailed to me only to find out that she had not mailed the paperwork. The only reason I found out is because I had to reach out to her. She did not keep me informed throughout the process. I paid $1250 for her services and then almost another $250 for paperwork to be filled out. I was informed in the beginning that she knew what to do.. After reaching out to (3) separate judges, she informed me that she was learning as she went with this case because it was unusual. Why not tell me this up front instead of saying that this would be an easy process..? This is a very good case of - "just because you have a degree does not mean you are ready for the field". To add icing to the cake, she informed me that she didn't want to pay for priority mail ($7) for this to reach me in time. Instead of her being in contact with the other party involved, she has had me in constant contact with the other party and having me bring the paperwork to the other party involved. -Not enough experience -Poor communication -Poor Follow-through -Unprofessional

I hired Anastasa Williams as my Family Law attorney on August 1, 2017. The agreement was very clear to indicate that Attorney Williams would be responsible for attending court hearings, preparing required court documents, and providing me (the client) with any and all correspondence from Family Court.... It's also clear that she would be well-versed in family law and that she would be able to communicate with the judges and me (with questions) in a timely manner. Well, this was not at all the case. At our first hearing, she spent several minutes speaking with other clients about their case while I was standing right there hoping to discuss and prepare for our hearing with the judge that would determine where my kids attended school (possibly for their entire lives). She did not present well to the judge, did not answer questions regarding the case (I did) and was unable to present a solid case. Communication with Attorney Williams was disappointing. She operates mainly via texting and takes days to respond. Often with, "I'm busy, will get back to you later". One time on the day after Thanksgiving, she responded to my very important questions regarding our impending custody trial with "I can't call. You can start working on the paperwork and what you think is important. I'm spending time with family..." - direct quote from text message. When it came time to prepare for the trial, she refused to prepare the pretrial statement as we had agreed, and I was forced to prepare them myself – even though the main reason I hired an attorney is so I wouldn’t have to do that anymore. BE VERY CAREFUL in considering this attorney for your case. As other reviewers mentioned, she is CHEAP, but that comes with inexperience. LOOK ELSEWHERE for an attorney
