I will say that after I had been through 3 other attorneys I met Jenn and she stepped into a disaster of a case worked together with my wife's counsel and in after 2.5 years of no progress, had it resolved and closed in 6 months. Feel it needs to be added that attorneys are people and can't make a d...ecision go your way at their will. You as a client need to hold up and handle your part of the deal. Thank you again Jenn.

Do you want to give someone all of your savings for a very simple divorce, only to have it drag on for a year and a half? Do you want to pay someone who decides not to give even a cursory response to questions after you've paid her for a service they have yet to perform? Would you like for your case ...to stall because of forms not filed on time (this one isn't on anyone but you, JD). How about someone who email blasts their clients to complain about bad reviews, only to have them scrubbed from this website? Well, then JD Law is the firm for you! I've taken my case into my own hands now. I'm sure that she would be responsive if I still owed her money, but since I already paid her, why would she care if my case never finalizes? She got hers.

I hired Jennifer because she assured me she could complete my divorce in approximately 3 months since it was a pretty simple case - no children, no major assets. I paid her an upfront, flat fee. It has been a year since I retained Jennifer, and I'm still married. After waiting months for a divorce... decree, I reached out to see what was going on. At this point, Jennifer discovered my final paperwork was never actually filed. She then assured me the paperwork was now complete, and I would be divorced in 3 weeks, no problem. She promised to send me copies of all of the paperwork, which I never received. It has been another 5 weeks, and I'm still not divorced. She does not respond to my emails to obtain status checks or perform the tasks she assured me she was completing. There was also a lack of attention to basic detail. My husband's name was incorrect in the first draft of the agreement paperwork. The date of separation was wrong on another document. I notified her it was incorrect, yet she mailed it to my husband with the incorrect date still intact. I do not recommend hiring Jennifer. She does not complete tasks, respond to emails, or get basic details correct. Dealing with her has been a major source of stress and frustration during an already miserable time.

If you are a victim of abuse, run in the other direction! Jennifer will compromise your safety. She provided my ex's counsel with my personal information which I had legally protected under California's Safe at Home program. They then provided it to my ex. Do not give her your personal information. I...t is not safe. Jennifer talks a big game. I was drawn to her because of her work with her BLM legal defense work. She told me she would complete my divorce for $2k. After completing just one hearing for which she was on a road trip and dropped the call multiple times, she withdrew, leaving me to find a new attorney. She did not provide a refund, either. Everyone I interviewed said the same thing: "Why hasn't she submitted this claim yet?" I had no reply; she refused to provide a strategy. When I asked for her to provide my case with some attention, after months of her stalling, she replied by telling me about another client who had been punched in the face the day before, which retraumatized me. I spent so much time working through that image, all done to try to put me in my place. She topped off her withdraw by with lying to the court, saying I had asked her to withdraw, and PA Bar, saying I had called her names. As if we were in elementary school. She is not trauma-informed and is in well over her head working with the public. I feel sorry for the protestors who relied on her to bail them out.
