If Zero was an option...

We went to see him after being served with a 20 day notice. We stressed the 20 day responses multiple times and he assured us he would take care of it. Almost a year later we found out that he didn't enter the petition for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy until a month later. In the mean time a judgement was e...ntered against the codebtor (the only one to own property). He assured us that Ch13 would protect our assets. Now, he tucked tail and states he represents the debtor and it's a conflict of interest to speak to us, even though we paid the fee for the debtor. No moral character, lousy attorney and does not follow through.

Did nothing to help me

I hired this guy for a Chapter 13 payment plan. Not only did my payments increase after awhile, but Dan increased his fee, even though he did the same amount of work. Would not recommend him to anyone. Terrible service for the price

do not recommend even beginning the process

In the thick of Covid I decided it was the best thing to get a handle on old debt that I had accrued over time so I called for a consult and not only did he act unprofessional and insulting over 20 minutes but he "threw" an outrageous fee - over 2,500.00 for chapter 7 just to deter me and insult even... further. He clearly had no intention of helping me and was also clearly taking advantage of people using the stimulus money to help themselves. He was rude. I hope no one feels the way I did after 20 min.

A showman who does nothing

I hired him for a bankruptcy and he did not live up to expectations. He pawned my case off on his paralegal and another older attorney in his firm. He messed up my case, then I had to hire another bankruptcy attorney. Do not recommend

Review for a Creditor Attorney

Dan (and his team) are extremely easy to work with in getting matters resolved in a way that satisfies the clients. He helps people get back on the path to financial stability with a feeling of pride. I have dealt with Dan and his other associates and I am equally comfortable dealing with anyone in h...is office to get to a satisfying result. His team is friendly and easy to speak with.

"Dan is one of the most knowledgeable and practiced bankruptcy lawyers in Northwest Pennsylvania. I have worked with him and opposed him, and in each instance Dan was professional and tremendously easy to deal with. He has a practical and straightforward approach to his practice, which benefits not only his peers, but more importantly his clients. Dan has earned his reputation as a great lawyer, and I would not hesitate to recommend him."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
