About Erin

Biography

Attorney Erin Rudert was selected for inclusion in 2010-2013 Pennsylvania Rising Stars, an honor awarded to the best up-and-coming attorneys. From 2014 through 2019, she has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, an honor awarded to the top five percent of state-wide lawyers. She has also been named as one of the Top 50 Female Attorneys for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She has been invited to speak multiple times for state-wide continuing education seminars with the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and has served as a panel member and expert advisor in case clinic seminars, where other attorneys seek advice about how to handle a particular case. She is currently the Treasurer of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and has served on the Board of Governors for over 7 years. She is also the Editor of The Advocate, the quarterly publication for trial lawyers in Western Pennsylvania.

Education and Licensing

She earned her Juris Doctor cum laude, Order of the Coif (awarded to the top 10 percent of a graduating class) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While at the University of Pittsburgh, she received the Outstanding Community Service Award and was the Articles Editor of Pittsburgh Tax Review. Attorney Rudert received her bachelor's degree summa cum laude from Ohio Northern University. She is fluent in Spanish.

Attorney Rudert is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State Courts, the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Community Involvement

Attorney Rudert is a law student mentor for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She is a participant in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and in the President's Challenge 5K Walk/Run to benefit the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers. Attorney Rudert is also a member of the Pittsburgh Piranhas hockey team. Attorney Rudert was born in Greenville, PA and was raised in Erie. She now lives in the Pittsburgh area.
